Where all discredited, failed Republicans go: Fox News, to be contributors and analysts. Or is he already there?

Ah, yes, the scare machine, but I think he already has his own Faux show as a current republican, maybe when he leaves the party he can permanently become Ted Nugent's personal assistant, hunt with Palin-Cheney friends and be the stand in band guitarist, I think they call them roadies, I wish him well in his new duck dynasty adventure icon_lol.gif

    Ah, yes, the scare machine...

I saw a TV promo for a "Fear Fest" a satellite channel is having this month.

And my first thought was: they're planning on showing Republican campaign speeches, and Party conventions?

But no, but it's just horror movies they've put together for Halloween.

You are right, though, the Republican scare machine is in full swing. ISIS militants are flooding our borders, gays are destroying straight marriage and want to steal our children, the Muslim Obama is plotting to turn the US into an Islamic state, EBOLA is entering the US at every airport, Democrats are plotting to seize everyone's guns, the economy is failing (despite all evidence to the contrary), etc, etc.

And the only solution to all these problems is to vote for Republicans. Who got us into most of these problems in the first place. Well THAT makes good sense. icon_rolleyes.gif

Most conspiracy theorists think 9/11 was concocted by the right, 1) to pay the war machine 2) keep us all in fear for a very long time, nobody does fear mongering better than the republicans and their fear media channel, Fox News channel claims to have the most viewership, which means, fear propaganda is reaching the uninformed and uneducated unable to think for themselves and that is exactly their plan, I am just glad I am not one of those brainwashed by constant doom gloom negativity, its really annoying icon_rolleyes.gif

Anybody figure this is a ploy by the GOP to keep their more moderate members in line before the elections?

It's hard to put anything past these guys/gals!

He says " he will become independent" So what he is saying is he will in name leave the GOP but since he sure isn't going to vote for a democrat he will still vote republican, Seems like someone has a case of the inflated ego.

Note: if Obama said he would leave the Democrats over say the border or obamacare I would say the exact same thing about him... Politicians that think they are so great that we give a crap what they think are all delusional. icon_biggrin.gif

Later dude! Go form a 3rd party of fundamentalist wackos so you can take votes away from what still calls itself the republican party. Maybe that'll make up for gerrymandered districts and voter suppression laws.

I will for the life of me never figure out why the democrats are not FUNDING a major push to form a third religions wacko party and sponsoring the main charactes to join. I mean what could be a BETTER use of funds than to split the vote.

Maybe, but the Reps look good for Nov.

Dems are understandably ready to move on to 2016, and get the hell away from Obama.

    Here is what Huckabee wrote:

“If the Republicans want to lose guys like me — and a whole bunch of still God-fearing Bible-believing people — go ahead and just abdicate on this issue, and why you’re at it, go ahead and say abortion doesn’t matter, either.”

It is unclear what he means by "Bible-believing people". Surely there are many people who believe much of the Bible but who do not see it as a scientific text book and do not believe that all parts of it reflect the will of God. In any case, many people do not feel the need to enact all their religious beliefs into law to force them onto other people.

Some people even believe that the World Trade Center towers were intentionally designed to make them easy to destroy. They believe that accelerants were included in the beams.

I am reminded of the McCarthy era.

That third fundamentalist party if formed will totally take over and permanently control your beloved lone star shithole of Texas with the full blessing of almost all Texas voters since they are extremely right wing and very religious. Even more so than conservative states like Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina.

Hey Roadkill we all get it. You had a bad experience in Texas and want the world to know about it. Get over it dude. Start contributing to the threads for a change instead of using all your free time to dis TX. We can't all be fortunate enough to smell Lake Erie from our rusted, ice covered back porch.

Hey Koastal the cuckoo, I did contribute something true to the forums about your shitty, lousy home state. But you hate to hear the truth. Texas or more accurately TexASS rightfully earned all the disrespect in the world. As for seeing and smelling Lake Erie, that is a much more pleasant odor than smelling the stink of oil refineries, the heavy auto exhaust, and the stagnant humid bayous of the Houston Metro Region. But you are a native Texan which means that you are too stupid to understand anything.

I maybe five years no one will remember who Huckabee is/was. Like Brian Brown, who will share the same fate, he's a mediocrity kept alive (sort of) by the media.

I hope Huckabee takes all the other religious crazies in the GOP with him. It will be the best thing that could happen to the party
