Some herbal supplements which have been proven to contribute to the alleviation of stress include rhodiola rosea, holy basil (or tulsi), panax ginseng. Personally only tried holy basil which I find quite potent.
Also take magnesium - about 200mg a day is beneficial even if you don't have a deficiency.
Diet and lifestyle come first, though
