That looks like something you would do to your brother while he sleeps.

I was totin' my pack along the dusty Winnemucca road,
When along came a semi with a high an' canvas-covered load.
"If you're goin' to Winnemucca, Mack, with me you can ride."
And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside.
He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand.
And I said, "Listen, I've traveled every road in this here land!"

    [Chorus:]
    I've been everywhere, man.
    I've been everywhere, man.
    Crossed the desert's bare, man.
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
    I've been everywhere.

    I've been to:
    Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota,
    Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota,
    Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma,
    Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma,
    Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo,
Tocapillo, Baranquilla, and Perdilla, I'm a killer.

    [Chorus]

    I've been to:
    Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana,
    Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana,
    Monterey, Faraday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa,
Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa,
Tennessee to Tennesse Chicopee, Spirit Lake,
Grand Lake, Devils Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete's sake.

    [Chorus]

    I've been to:
    Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Ombabika,
    Schefferville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa Rica,
    Pittsfield, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport,
Hackensack, Cadillac, Fond du Lac, Davenport,
    Idaho, Jellico, Argentina, Diamantina,
Pasadena, Catalina, see what I mean-a.

    [Chorus]

    I've been to:
    Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Gravelbourg, Colorado,
    Ellensburg, Rexburg, Vicksburg, Eldorado,
    Larimore, Atmore, Haverstraw, Chatanika,
    Chaska, Nebraska, Alaska, Opelika,
    Baraboo, Waterloo, Kalamazoo, Kansas City,
Sioux City, Cedar City, Dodge City, what a pity.

    [Chorus]

    (I've been everywhere)

but I always come back here

well let's see. i've been to cancun, cayman islands, jamaica, germany, spain, italy, france, sweden, switzerland, denmark, uk, scotland, israel, thailand, and cambodia. i loved each of them. seeing angkor wat in cambodia was a bucket list thing. the dome of the rock in jerusalem, the Christus statue in copenhagen, schloss neuschwanstein in bavaria, la sagrada familia in barcelona, all things i've wanted to see and have now seen. meeting new friends from all over the world. those were the good times icon_smile.gif

TomSOCAL saidLake Tahoe, California is beautiful, the guys are cute and athletic, but I am not sure if there is much of a year round gay population. Any idea?

Ojai, California in Ventura county, with the Orange groves and beautiful green hillsides. There is a small gay population. It is a liberal hippie area.

All of Ventura county is nice since city and county leaders have preserved open space.

Thousand oaks, California in Ventura county is too expensive, but is surrounded by thousands of miles of running and mountain biking trails. It is conservative but becoming more liberal.

Santa Barbara is wonderful on the ocean, but is expensive. Inland, the Santa Ynez valley is nice, such as Solvang, along with trails east of Lake Cachuma in the Los Padres ntl forest.

Finally, the drive from Ojai to Santa Maria on hwy 33 is incredible...it is the most beautiful drive I have taken anywhere...

Another nice drive is the alternate way to Lake Tahoe...hwy 88 and the hot springs near Markleeville in alpine county. Any idea if that county is gay friendly?

I love California. I just came back from a road trip through most of Calif. along the coast. I drove from Portland down to San Diego. I didnt' see Ojai though. I stayed a night in Ventura. Didn't go to Thousand Oaks either. I drove through Santa Barbara but didn't stay at all because of my schedule. I love San Diego.

Been to 44 states (all but AL, AR, HI, ID, MS, NM) 5/10 Canadian provinces, a bunch of Caribbean islands, Cozumel, Belize, Egypt, Malta, Italy, Iceland, Ireland, England, France and Belgium.

I really liked Iceland, enough that I went back 10 years later. It is just such an interesting combo of wildness and civility. I'm glad I saw Egypt but don't have any particular desire to return. Malta was also neat because it's been occupied by so many different cultures over the centuries and each is reflected in the present society.

Domestically my favorite spots that I could keep going back to are the central CA coast between Monterrey and Santa Barbara, central New England (VT/NH) and the west coast of Florida. I like New Orleans but only for a few days at a time.

There are a lot of other places I'd love to go including the rest of Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Prague, Krakow, Croatia, Greek islands, Turkey, and New Zealand.

On a more positive note...I would love to go to the Netherlands...do they speak English if needed?

I am part Swedish and would also like to go to Sweden, do they speak English?
    icon_biggrin.gif

Seriously? (or part of your sarcastic humor?) You will find that any native born people under 50 in Sweden, Norway, or the Netherlands speak English - maybe not so for the recent immigrants.

Been to Spain, France, Italy and the USA. Visited lots of cities and places in my home country too (England).

Favourite place would definitely be NYC. Loved the overwhelming choice of amazing restaurants on offer, not to mention the general atmosphere of the place. Can't wait to go back one day <3
