Other than the guy being incredibly attractive, I've always wondered if this is where we're headed as an electronic/media based society.

If it meant I got to look like him, you could implant me with anything. icon_eek.gif

Yeah, but then when I'm at the gym, I wouldn't have to worry about flinging my ipod Touch across the gym on the treadmill or getting the cords to my Bose earbuds caught on weight equipment. Those bitches are not fun to replace!

    I don't think that's where we're headed. I think we're going wireless. Bluetooth iPods...

If we can somehow reverse the trends of dumbing down and self-indulgence, then we can focus on things like telepathy and perhaps teleportation without the gizmos. But that's so 936 years from now, so iPod away! icon_wink.gif

Hellz yeah I would be all for implanting an Iphone into me. If I could expand my memory and digitize iticon_eek.gif How effing awesome would it be to have all my porn in my head? I could be surfing myspace and RJ in my head while I'm waiting in line, sitting on the toilet, working out on the stair stepper. It would rock. WHOA!!! You could communicate with other people electronically and encrypt the signals. HOLY SHIT!!! I would be all for it. Then again computers communicate way too fast. I like taking my time getting to the point where a chick tells me no thanksicon_neutral.gif

Nah. Not anytime soon. But probably brain implants with direct neural connections to devices and whatnot.

I concur. It's creepy to think about though. Kind of like a mini sci-fi flick.

Haha! That was hilarious! Killing people would become so easy... simply upload a virus to them and... congratulations, you have your very own real life sex doll! Haha! Kinda reminds me of the South Park PC vs. Mac video:

Pretty much yes. As the new generation is more influenced by electronics, they will be more open to hybriding themselves with electronics. I can't wait until Apple comes out with iMasturbate. I'll just be sitting there with that dumb look on my face all day while iMasturbate excites the region in my brain responsible for sexual arousal.

You need to read some Philip K Dick.

The freakish implanted wires would be totally superfluous: why not merely implant the speakers and have them communicate wirelessly? why not connect something directly to the auditory nerves?

    It's quite a good metaphor though :-)

I need an implanted calculator (would so help at the grocery store), accessible with OCR built into my retina with functions activated by eye positioning and wincing (which I actually use right now when I'm doing math in my head). A calendar, task-list, memo and Rolodex chip wouldn't be bad either. Skull implants (sub-bone) with cell phone. Retinal digital cam/corder with WiFi uploads to my computer. Wouldn't it be great to have vision with a pause function?

Supposedly they are developing some chip that will when installed in the brain will help in psychiatric treatment and available for downloads. I'm against that for obvious reasons.

I doubt what's in that pic will happen. It'd be wireless. Maybe an antenna coming out of the head.
