Is this one of the causes of radical Jihad in the USA?

There must be other reasons that make young men want to go to another country and allow them to become a martyr in the name of Jihad?

I don't think there's a single answer. Some people are easily manipulated by religious fanatics. While others just want to kill people for shit and giggles.

    You don't understand.
I have spoken to ex muslims where I work and they've told me stuff about the Quran that is shocking.

First off, there are over 100 verses that are extremely violent that is permissible for the greater good of Islamic Rule. Even though they may be living in a country with laws and regulations against such things, they feel that they are above those laws if it's for the sake of Allah.
So lying, killing, beheading etc, is permissible if you believe it's for the greater good of Allah and Islamic rule.

Secondly, although some progressive muslims will say it's more of a spiritual battle and not actual war that the Quran talks about, it actually says in the Quran that the only ones exempt from these expectations are those who are physically disabled. Why would a physically disabled person be exempt from a spiritual battle? It obviously is talking about physical war.

As I was speaking to this guy, he told me that the Quran even condemns peaceful muslims saying they are graded below those who war for Allah, are branded as hypocrites and will be sentenced to hell for not fighting.

COUNTLESS MSA's (muslim student associations) will NOT actually say they condemn the pro-genocide actions or ideals of terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas.
How do you differentiate the terrorist between one who actions through the killings, and the other who does not but supports the ideals of those who do?

I find it hypocritical that they will come to a multicultural country, complain about being a minority as if being muslim is a race rather than a religion, ask for acceptance and tolerance, and yet at the same time follow an ideology that teaches them to be intolerant of all non-muslims.

I'm sure not all muslims are like those extremists and I'm sure some pick and choose parts of their religion that suit their lifestyle and are happy being peaceful and progressive in a multicultural country.
I just think that if they are going to ask for acceptance, they should at least give it back in return.
