Dude, I am a huge caffeine addict and I live off of energy drinks. I'm really, really addicted to them (in fact I'm drinking one right now icon_eek.gif ). What are some of your favorites/non-favs and any recommendations?

    My personal favs are:
Hyphy (by far the best tasting I've ever had)icon_biggrin.gif
Tab (nice taste, works well, no sugar/calories)
Sobe No Fear (I usually get the sugar free one)
    Redbull (Sugar free)
Redline (when I am really pooped or am coming off a caffeine high)

    I hate:
    Monster
    Rockstar
    Xyience
...I don't like any of them because they give me the runs. Plus, I don't feel too safe drinking stuff that looks like it's nuclear waste...I don't want to start glowing in the dark icon_confused.gif

Redline Triple Berry Xtreme is the bomb!

    Crunk is good also.

Rebull has a ton of calories.

The only time I ever drink energy drinks is once or twice a year when I'm on a long road trip. Regular Red Bull is my poison of choice.

my anxiety goes NUTS when I take energy drinks. I try to stay away from them all together but sometimes i need a boost. I take hydroxycut hardcore when I need something to keep me up and damn it works pretty good. Keeps me focused and I dont feel all wired.

AsianCoreyI don't feel too safe drinking stuff that looks like it's nuclear waste...

Don't worry. Real nuclear waste, at least the really nasty stuff, looks kind of like a root-beer float. But the glass in the camera lens usually turns black within a couple of minutes after you stick it through the tank hatch. Then it doesn't look like anything at all.

(Man, I'm so glad I don't work at that place any more.)

I'm sure they're all quite terrible for you in the long run, but I have to admit that when I have more open budget than I have right now, I love drinking the Sobe No Fear variety right before a workout. It's not so much because I NEED some kind of energy boost.. that can be done with food... this stuff is a bit different from the others because it has L-arganine(the stuff that gets your blood flowing and gives you more of a pump) and it used to actually have some creatine in there too. I watched them phase that out though- doesn't exist here anymore.

Honestly the proliferation of energy drinks is starting to freak me out a little, though. It went very quickly from mostly just red bull here and there to 2 dedicated fridges of a plethora of choices at most convenience stores. The fact that they can be successful(by selling so damn many) and charging $2.50+ USD for these things points to something in the neighborhood of addiction. Are energy drinks the new tobacco?

OK, I was just being a little dramatic at the end there, but I'm 1/16 way serious. ;)

Sobe Adrenalin Rush is the bomb. Some of the others give me a headache but just good taste and strong energy with the sobe.

I love energy drinks....only when i work out though. I might take a RED BULL once in a blue moon for long drives...but that stuff is like water to me. If your into a kick-ass no nonsense engergy rush (and can handle it) I recommend NUSPEED.

Its pretty rare and mostly found at MAX MUSCLE fitness stores but it packs a hell of a wallop. My bro has to drag me out of the gym when i take it. Get ready to pay pay pay....a single bottle will cost you almost $5 dollars but contains two servings.

I agree with Inked Steel....ENDORUSH is also good but second behind NUSPEED in the buzz/energy factor.

Third I'd say REDLINE EXTREME...any flavor.

I am with ya Corey, lol. Total caffeine junkie here too. Guess that's what happens when you grow up in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. When its dark and raining all the time, you have to get your energy somewhere.

Love sugar free Redbull, Redline (damn though, this is some strong stuff), the Redline Black Pearl one (although I didn't feel the supposed "difference", does the same as Redline to me, lol). But I also love Monster and Rockstar. Always drinking the low carb/ sugar monster here. I think it tastes great!

So, I decided to order some ENDORUSH, and I used it for the first time this morning. A half-hour before my workout, I took 4oz, per the directions, just to see how my body reacts to the stuff. It wasn't like I was ramped up on speed, but I kicked ass on some intense super sets, and at the end of the workout, I felt like I could have done the whole thing over again. My trainer was actually impressed. Wednesday is leg day, and I plan on drinking 8oz.

I just wish the stuff came in capsule form. The taste is nasty, and the sucralose/Splenda sweetener has a vile aftertaste. Other than the taste, though, I'm thoroughly satisfied.
