Personally I think half of it is a load of bollocks and in your head. If you want real organic food, rent an allotment.

All the research says that not only are non-organic foods just as safe as "organic" foods, but they have the exact same nutrition--there are no more vitamins, no more benefits from "organic" foods.

Yep. That's why I go for taste. Most organics truly taste better. Some don't.

"But the group found a significant difference in the levels of special compounds called antioxidants. "Across the important antioxidant compounds in fruits and vegetables, organic fruits and vegetables deliver between 20 and 40 percent higher antioxidant activity," says Charles Benbrook, from Washington State University's Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources, a co-author of the study".

Makes sense the food wouldn't be as robust. Use it or lose it, and if the crops are propped up via pesticides it's perhaps akin to eating a geriatric that's dependent on antibiotics. Do you want to eat old people? No, of course not.

Plus can slap that sticker on your nuts.

Yet another excellent excuse for eating even more fruits and vegetables says I. Especially fruit.

Always look at who's funding these "studies." And it's not always easy to find out. Follow the money trail.

The only foods that are inorganic are water, salt, and baking soda.

    Re produce pesticides:

If it has a protective skin (orange, banana, avocado, etc.) no need to buy organic. I believe inorganic apples are safe if you use a "fruit wash" to rinse off the wax and chemical residues.

If it doesn't, like leafy greens (kale, spinach, watercress, etc.), pesticides are more likely to be absorbed and difficult or impossible to wash out. So for your pulverized green smoothies, go organic.

    Can't speak for whoremoans.

Wrong. Although it's not unsafe, using a "fruit wash" is somewhere around a million times more toxic than the insignificant pesticide residues that may be present on rationally grown food. Which are millions of times less toxic than poisons produced by the plants themselves that are present in all food. And thousands of times less toxic than the pesticides that are approved by the organic scam institute (magically exempt, for an appropriate fee!), that are present on so-called "USDA Organic" food.

The reason to wash produce is to remove potentially pathogenic microorganisms.

Nobody has ever gotten sick from pesticide residues or hormones in food. People die every day from pathogens in food.
