    Why are we not making solar power available to the home owner more easily? If we expanded solar and wind generation to home owners we coul save having to build new fossil generation plants. This would also help mitigate the damage to many lives during power outages. That coupled with green roofs coul help reduce the effects of climate change. Investments today could lead to greater self sufficiency.

    Denver, a high land desert, has 300 days cloud free. Along those lines solar makes sense.

    Houses are so bloated out today.
    it would be difficult to power a whole house from solar. Today not a lot of families would be willing to live in 700-900 ft-sq house. Look at structures from the 1940's and there were fewer rooms and the rooms were much smaller.

    It is. People just aren't buying it enough to bring the price down...yet.
