I'm a crazy punk fan. Outside of work I wear pretty much jeans combat boots and leather or denim jacket depending on the weather....also got my hair buzzed and have basically dressed this way in varying extremes since I was 12 and have been involved with the skinhead community (SHARP - skinheads against racism predjudice... I'm a gay Jew so I'm. not a racist or neo nazi - I like the music and style of the skinhead culture as well as he working class pride that's integral to the whole thing. However most punk events are majority straight, which is fine. 98% of my friends are heterosexual guys. However, I would like to meet a guy into this stuff too, like someone to date...our outlooks would probably be similar, he'd be masculine, and tbh I'm really turned on by the rough-neck, skinhead, "scally" (that's a Brit term) look and attitude. When I was in Britain this seems to be pretty mainstream and I saw a lot of guys with that style and a couple of venues for this subculture. Is there any like this in NYC? Idc if it's a club, a bar, or a venues just want somewhere catering to either the gay- punk or gay-skinhead subculture. Also even though the music I like is older (90% of my iTunes is music '66-85)
    :/2
If you wanna see the kinda guys I'm talking about, look up the porno studio called "triga films"

    Anyone know anything, help please??

All I got was Rock Bar on Christopher Street or some bars in the East Village had a punk kind of vibe.

Been to rock bar...not exactly my thing.

But those bars in the village, were they gay bars? There are a lot of punk bars out there but I don't wanna go to a straight place and hit on the wrong guy and wind up in the hospital.

I am not sure, just wound up in the East Village at some club and seemed a little more punk than what you see in the West Village. Of course I went to the Monster on an old disco night or to a club in Chelsea so East Village seemed very different.

Is there anything in south jersey or Long Island? It seems counter productive to go to the suburbs for a gay community
