That fucking, backward lone star shithole of Texas is being permitted to screw up the education standards not only in their religiously oppressive backyard but throughout the US as well. It is time to permanently boot Texas out of the union. The US does not need Texas as a state anymore.icon_mad.gif

I've been saying this for years. Texas is an embarrassment to intelligent people. I was forced to live there for years, because of my military career. Lived among them, know those racist bigots first-hand.

A few bright pockets of scenery, some nice campgrounds, but a cesspool of humanity. Their Governor and State Legislature, and this Texas State School Board, more accurately reflect what the majority of Texans really are.

Because if the majority of Texans don't think this way, how did these people get in office, and how do they stay there? Riddle me that.

Their largest cities Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Fort Worth are all predominately right wing conservative. It is only the downtown cores where it is progressive and liberal. Only the capital city of Austin is overwhelmingly democratic and liberal to an extant. So both the urban and suburban areas of Texas are just as backward and hateful as the rural areas and the little rinky-dink cow towns. Texas as a whole is a oppressive backwater that really doesn't fit into the US. It sticks out like a sore, third world thumb.
