kxd7 saidYes. If you are born in a country where the majority is white, everyone is gonna prefer whites because it's something they're familiar with. Why do you think most people from North America go for whites or "light skinned" Latinos?
There are less whites in America then black and Latino, so explain that
If by America you mean USA then according to wikipedia there are 77% of whites
That's counting a lot of latinos as white. If you're drawing an ethnic distinction there it's less than 63%; add Mexico and Canada (not to mention the rest of Central America) and caucasians do become a large minority in North America.
Im lost about he white latinos thing. So guys like him wouldn't count as white because they're from Latin America?
Scratch what I wrote. And I don't want to bump the thread, so I'll just replace my previous post:
* kxd7 made a more or less meaningless and completely unverifiable claim about North America
* jo2hotbod made a technically incorrect claim which is closer to the truth about North American demographics than anything the rest of us said, but not true to US demographics
* david3k gave the less relevant of two numbers (though either is sufficient) from Wikipedia to disprove jo2hotbod's claim *if* it was about the US only.
* I tried and failed to demonstrate that jo2hotbod's point was actually somewhat valid for North America as a whole (though it is)
...which is why I ultimately realized there is nothing about this tragedy of errors worth salvaging. Consider everything I've said on this subthread withdrawn.
