birds of a feather.... It is true to an extent. Look at any gay couple. They usually are of similar attractiveness. And that gets accentuated the longer they are together because their tastes tend to merge a bit. So if one has the shaved head look, the other is inclined to like it and try it, too. Same with clothes. They aren't intentionally trying to mimic the other, if fact they may try to avoid it, they just naturally converge.

    It depends

I have boatloads of friends who other people think are irresistibly hot, but I don't see them that way. I think it's easier to befriend someone when you don't want to know what their penis looks like. Since the all-american look isn't usually my cup of tea, a lot of my homo friends (while very hot to most of society) don't really register with me as hawt.

I guess that makes our interactions more normal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think everyone likes having friends they and others would consider attractive. No? icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes. Gay men see other gay men a potential mates. They have so many to choose from that they waste their lives looking for hot hook ups and in the end, they get old and ugly and unfulfilled because they never felt in love. Why do you think you see so many buff single homos around?

If a gay guy is concerned about how attractive his platonic friend is... he wants something more than platonic with said friend.

So if what you're asking is doe hot guys only want to have hot FWB, then of course the answer is "usually, yes". But if it really is only just platonic, then it shouldn't matter how attractive or unattractive a person is.

True. I guess I was thinking more about partners than friends. Still, a nice looking friend is pleasant to look at. But that really doesn't have anything to do with why he's my friend.
