Already looking and have purchased a couple of shirts for close friends (and even had them shipped). I've identified a few things for family members so I'm not lost in the least and hope to have about half the stuff bought by Thanksgiving. Planning and diligence the key to success...lol

My family has been getting away from the whole gift giving thing. Keeps the pressure off. Makes the holidays less stressful and enjoyable. Only my mother gets her panties in a wad if she doesn't get a gift from you. She's always been difficult like that. I just get Dad a bottle of booze and he's happy as a clam.

Instead of gifts I would rather you invite me to your home for a little wine, cheese, and good conversation. Hell, it doesn't even have to be expensive wine; I'm no wine connoisseur. It really is the simple things that make life worth living.

I tell my family that I'll get them something the week after Xmas because that's when they're on sale. And they're cool with that! icon_biggrin.gif

But I'm definitely NOT one of those people who gets up at 3am on Black Friday just to find a deal.

I have a bazillion siblings and now they're getting married so there's more all the time. We started picking names more than a decade ago. This year we are doing Craigslist Christmas. You have to buy the other person a gift off of CL for roughly $25.
For my guy I'm not sure what to get. He just bought himself a new surround sound sonthere goes that idea.
His babies- I'm getting the boy one of those electric bikes/4 wheelers. The girl I might get a big wheel for. She'll be 2 in Jan so by the time it's warm enough she'll be old enough to ride it.
My mother? No idea. I'll know it when I see it.

My friends and family are scattered all over. Same with my partner's. We give each other the gift of travel. Doesn't have to be around Christmas, just sometime. We commit to when we'll get together and where. I don't need anything and prefer to pick out my own stuff anyway. Most people are that way, I think.

the balisong knives cost $6 so I bought my brother two to practice for both hands I think they make good christmas stocking presents for young kids. theres cool tutorials on youtube on how to use them and they are pracise knives so no blade haha

I'm fine with puppies if that's all they have.

Will its like this you have to have money to buy things and I don't have the money to buy anything for any body so they are not getting anything. We have been like this for the pass few years.

I like most of the animals, not a big fan of birds, seagulls and pigeons in particular

Okay, so no feathered boas for you!

I never know - rarely have "much" money - hate these damn holidays and think the emphasis on 'bling' is utterly whack. Just nice to SEE family and spend some fun time together. Isn't that the most important thing?

I have 5 siblings and all their kids and the kids kids and now the kids kids kids. So we stopped exchanging whole scale a few years ago. Now it's kinda like give to who you want but don't shove it in anybody's face.
