God's just mad in general. You would be too if the half the country said you fathered a child with a woman you didn't even have sex with.

Copernicus saidEarthquake IN KANSAS??? I will read the article later but that just sounds pretty damn scary. What it going on with the plate tectonics?

...The USGS has said a likely factor in the dramatic rise in earthquakes in Oklahoma is wastewater injection, a byproduct of the oil and gas industry practice of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking...

    Fracking

I really don't get this... Fracking has never been a cause of earthquakes as far as I know. Earthquakes are based on tectonics. THERE ARE NO TECTONICS IN KANSAS as far as I know. This just does't make sense. I will read the article but I got so much to do today that I cannot right now.
Read the last paragraph, titled "Induced Seismicity."

There are serious faults under Kansas abd Missouri
One of the deadliest earthquakes in US history came from the "New Madrid" fault in Missouri

You need to educate yourself on the topic, not just state that fracking "has never been a cause of earthquakes as far as I know."

While hydraulic fracturing is decades old, horizontal hydraulic fracturing is quite new; it has only been mainstream in the industry for a little less than 10 years. That, along with frack wastewater storage, has been proven to be the cause of earthquakes in areas where fracking is prolific. It's happening across the globe.

Here's an article in Forbes citing an eye-opening industry report (note the gas industry knows it's causing earthquakes - call it collateral damage)

You can have seismic activity within a crustal plate not just along its perimeter on a major fault line. The violent earthquakes of 1811-1812 near what is now New Madrid, Missouri are an outstanding example of past seismic activity within a crustal plate.
