    Did anyone get this book?

    I bought it years ago but never put it to use until this June. Most of the reviews online are 5/5 stars and talk about how quickly they saw changes in their strength and body. There are a few criticisms though. Some people find the selection of workouts to be unusual and lacking reason (yet still gave the book 4 or 5 stars icon_confused.gif). Other issues include the guy doing the exercises in the pictures sometimes having poor form, and some typos.

    One thing I like is that it seems that I am able to increase the weight on about half of the exercises really quickly. Sometimes I've been able to go up another 5 lbs on the same exercise by the next week. But I'm still trying to figure out what the author's approach is with how the workouts are distributed. It seems that certain areas are being neglected.

    But otherwise it gives some effective strategies for certain problem areas, like if you have trouble doing chin-ups, like I do.

    Any thoughts on this book?

    I spotted an old version in a Goodwill store when shopping for a Halloween costume years ago. I don't use the exercise descriptions and pics for ideas but not the workout routines. Also the sections talking about protein, fat, carb and why/when etc. I keep it in the trunk of the car and pull it out at lunch occasionally to remind me of things and give me ideas when my routine gets stale. I love it. Very useful and not trendy.
