... what career would you pursue?

I mean, if you could choose a certain job or field to work in - besides the one you already do of course - which would you pick?

Personally I'd be a vet. I love animals, but didn't care enough about high school science at the time to make it possible now.

A movie critic. The thought of watching movies all day and getting paid for it seems very appealing.

    Concert pianist
But I was never talented enough for that
I worked my way through college as a cocktail-lounge pianist
Which is about right for my abilities

    IT or personal training.

My career as a musician never really took off, and I'm not sure I make a great chef.

I never needed to flip it: always wanted to be a teacher and became one. That morphed into ski coaching, and that into freelance ski tuning. I enjoyed them all, though none of them payed very well. Do what you love, embrace adventures when they pop up. You only live once!

Bodybuilder or personal trainer. I detest my mailroom/office clerk job and I regret wasting four years of my younger life in college pursuing a bachelors degree in urban and regional planning.

I'm currently working at a hardware store ,,,,,, but I'd really like to be my own boss doing what I like the most yard work lawn care.

Normally I would say pastry chef. I really am planning on opening a pie shop once I retire from medicine.

But after last night's performance I wish I could be a burlesque performer now.

What IT field specifically? There's IT networking (which is my major in college), programming, management, etc. Funny that you should mention being a chef, that was actually my first choice of career fields since I also enjoy cooking. icon_smile.gif

Well, at one time I actually wanted to be a novelist. I think sometimes that I still do! I have written several short stories and began a few novels and put them by the way-side. Perhaps I should dust them off and finish them.
