Have any of you turned on your grindr at the gym? Would it be weird if someone noticed you? Just curious to what you all think lol

Yeah I have opened it. I am sure people have noticed. I really do not care.

It's dumb. Everyone just casually pretends that we're not all on the same app. And just look the opposite direction as we pass by each other. icon_lol.gif

Usually, it's a bunch of blank profiles which tells me one thing about them.....they're married! icon_eek.gif

It would be way more effective to just go up and say hi to the hot guy you're checking out instead.

I've always wondered how it would work at a sports event, like a college foot- or basketball game. How about an intercollegiate wrestling or water polo tournament or swim meet? icon_cool.gif Any experienced feedback?

Seems like a sensible way to see who's gay and looking at the gym.

I'd never thought about Grindr being just technology enhanced gaydar. Maybe I should try it. Not looking for hookups, though. Guess it might send the wrong signal.

I remember once a gym member walking by me several times when I was on the elliptical at the gym. It was 3 or 4 years ago and finally he stopped and chatted me up by saying that he had seen me online. I said, "could be" and he asked me if the "Adam site" was it.. or grindr. I've actually never even seen Grindr before so he kept looking at me and said that he just knew he had seen me on some site...

Realjock I ask.....I explained RJ to him and he said he had seen RJ.. and that must be it!

    haha

... and if he's all nice and sweet to you, that means he's straight.

    (I'm not kidding!)

i'll sometimes chat with people on there when i'm on the cardio machines. i don't care if someone sees me and i don't think it's weird to see them. i even made a good (yes, non-sexual) friend on there icon_smile.gif

I look at Grindr at the gym. A couple of guys have messaged me while I am in the locker room saying things like "why don't you drop your towel?" I find it pretty grim that they would do that.
