Trans Day of Rememberance

    Held a vigil recently.

We all placed candles in a circle on the floor, read out the names of the murdered trans individuals, and when each name was read out, the candle which corresponded with that person was blown out.

It was very powerful. We blew out 78 candles and everyone by the end was crying.

We also read out how the trans people were murdered (because they were trans). Worst one involved stoning and being set on fire. Utterly horrific.

Anyway, it was a moving ceremony. Just wondering if anybody else did anything for Trans Day of Rememberance?

I had no clue that there is even such a day. At least, I know now.

Well the lack of interest in this topic is depressing...
