I'm talking films which destroyed your soul for days and were just immensely unbearable to watch. Here's mine (in no particular order):

    1. Irreversible
    2. I Stand Alone
    3. Antichrist
    4. Nymphomaniac Part II
    5. Dogville
    6. Every Bela Tarr film
    7. A Serbian Film
    8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original 1974)
    9. The Evil Dead (original 1981)
    10. INLAND EMPIRE

    What are yours?

I'm presuming this is either irony or you just did a classic Stewart Hall and had a negative reading of the text...

    "Lady In A Cage"
Trapped in her stalled private elevator mere feet from oblivious passerby, gay son-smothering mom Olivia de Havilland - with only a bad hip and plastic utensils as weapons - is terrorized by intruder James Caan in his first film role.

    "Sylvia"
Gorgeous gay-in-real-life George Maharis' detective character finds Carol Baker's then-child rape victim redeemable despite her blackmailing johns while turning tricks for butch professional female impersonator "The Barracuda" - because she still likes to read.

    "This Property Is Condemned"
Roadhouse proprietor cockblocks her spoiled trollop elder daughter Natalie Wood from finding happiness with boyfriend Robert Redford in a tragic turning-of-the-tables, leaving the younger daughter literally in tatters meandering about train tracks in sis's old gown.

What can I say, I was 8, impressionable, and these were the types of old movies they used to show afternoons on TV when there were only four channels to choose from.

The Cove - on Japanese people in an island killing dolphins in a Cove, arrgg, very bloody.

In the Realm of the Senses - Japanese foreign film, based on a true story in the 30s. This one Japanese servant girl falls in love with the man of the house and her obsession turns creepy and deadly.

    - I don't remember the name/title of the third film, It was a Japanese/Chinese film. About a woman who like love corpses and dead men or something. She works in a funeral home. Her living boyfriend doesn't turn her on or something, it ends in a very tragic/creepy ending. (Japanese/Chinese cult foreign film).

    - Mandragora - A Czech teen runs away to Prague and becomes a Gay Hustler/Prostitute. This is a very artsy, great foreign film. It was so disturbing to watch all the horrible things happened to the main character. Gay hustler Czech foreign film.
