I'd guess it's less problematic than FB because the profile template isn't mean to be equal to FB's and I don't recall getting as many intrusions.

As a nonfiction author, I was advised to be a subject matter expert and twitter on my subject of expertise.

I am purposefully ignorant (blissfully so) to social media (amongst other things lol) including Twitter, FB, etc.. but, I can see it being valuable to folks in the private sector, consulting and the self employed as a networking and personal brand development tool.

I have both a fb account and a Twitter account. I use both for different reasons. I use FB for mostly personal reasons like connecting with family and friends that I rarely talk to and see.

Twitter I use for making work connections and for catching up on news. I follow posts made by media sources like NPR, CNN, Huff Post, Ny times, Men's health , Men's fitness, etc. It's easier than browsing a dozen news sites.

I do not have Twitter. I do have Facebook, but in the most minimal form I can contrive. It's to receive messages from friends who insist on using it. I never send from FB myself.

I had Twitter for about a week a year ago, what a waste of time, I deleted it.

(I find) Twitter is suited for group chats. FB is better for one-on-one chats. And both are good to follow news in your area of interest.

You want me to use Twitter?!?

If you start a tweet with @someonestag then twitter won't publish this in your direct feed. Your followers have to check it out under "replies" BUT if you throw a period or a word or two in front of it such as Hey @someonestag then it will show up in your direct feed.

a younger and/or tech savy audience is more likely to be interactive with the feed, rather than passively scrolling past it in their feed

The under 30 professional in our industry is seeking ways to gain "industry" know-how and is open to using social media

We will accomplish value by tweeting short industry know-how tips

We will accomplish consistency by tweeting every business day

We will accomplish entertainment by tweeting several times a month an "unusual" picture about the industry

Gain followers that will lead to potential new clients and increased revenue

We will promote the feed to young professionals through college graduate supply chain programs and industry associations with the hopes that they begin to think of our company as a reliable subject matter expert.

No. Will not get one. That nor Pintrist or Instagram, either!

I think Twitter is a waste of time. Even though I had to get one for a social media experiment, I deleted as I really saw no need for it.

Twitter is the digital equivalent of holding a cardboard sign at a street corner.
