    This is good.

I just went through this twice within the last year or so.

A great way to go surrounded by family and friends in a warm caring atmosphere. As a Christian I believe in everlasting life either in heaven or hell.So death is just a passage to eternal life.God rest his soul and may he rest in peace.

I'm not going to do the research here but most doctors would not wish to be put through the trauma of being resuscitated particularly when the quality of life is minimal at best.

Aren't you worried that your anti-immigration views will lead God to turn you away at the border???

Hottjoe, are you keeping a dossier on everyone here?

Of course, WickedRyan only thinks that's what happens. He may be in for a bigger surprise if someone doesn't give him a coin for Charon.

Would you kindly take your 24-7 hate, hyperbole, insults, name calling and vitriol somewhere else?

Hospice rarely used the term 'death', but instead referred to it as 'transitioning'.

I don't know if it was just by chance or her decision, but my mother seemed to wait until everyone else was out of the room, but just the three kids, before she passed.

Yeah, using religion to judge people is pretty hateful. Anyone who is gay knows that. Still, the heaven or hell afterlife of popular religious beliefs comes down to a judgment.

An anti immigration Christian is a hypocrite. Jesus wouldn't turn children away at any border, in this life or the next

The title of the thread immediately brings to mind the Brittany Maynard story too, and I also remembered about Switzerland's policy on the topic also.

My take on the situation, it's such a hard and sad topic to discuss, but one that needs to be looked at sooner rather than later.
