Lube

Okay, so about a month ago or maybe a little longer I used Gun Oil lube and it made my skin look like it was burnt with an std. It's gross and I don't think it's healing as fast as it should. Yes, I should go see a doctor about it and I'm due to see him anyway so that's beside the point. And yes I know it is NOT an std.

I know that different bodies react to different things but does anyone know of any good lubes?

Strongly Suggest you consult a doctor! gun oil lube does not have that effect on me or my bf.

I'm a fan of Pjur eros bodyglide.. best one I've ever used and while it is kinda pricey a little goes a long way.

Before you try any other lube, I'd find out what is causing the reaction. You don't want to go from bad to worse....especially in the nether regions.

I use gun oil as well and have never had an issue. Nor have any of my regular partners (can't speak for the one offs).

You should definitly get allergy tested and find out what it was that caused the issue. For that matter are you sure it was the gun oil.

Eros is the way to go, but I suggest you take the Gun Oil package in with you to see the Doc. He's gonna be curious about the ingredients.

Have you ever noticed your body's negative reaction to silicone? It's actually quite common. Water-based lube (there are some good ones) would be best, a high-end ID brand is my suggestion. Test patches on the backs of your hands would be a great place to start-- avoid any risk of damaging the skin on your genitals or anus.

If the skin is not broken, soothe with a single daily application of Vaseline intensive rescue clinical therapy lotion and let there be air exposure, don't keep cooped up in your drawers while at home, at rest, etc.

Also know that until that rash is completely healed, you are at a high-risk of STD transmission. Not judging, just sayin'.

icon_eek.gif Not me! With me, baby oil and friction just do not mix...talk about feeling the burn. I go with Gun Oil. It's the best I've found and a little goes along way. Other than that, good ol' fashion Vas will do in a pinch.

It's regular old KY warming jelly for me. Though there's this stuff at CVS called 'Wet' that one of my friends was telling me about. May have to try it out. He swears it's hands down better than KY.

I use old faithful, Astroglide. Since my skin is hypersensitive to chemicals, it seems to work best. I've tried several other brands only because the packaging was "cooler", but had reactions to most.

And now Astroglide has a new liquid that's even better for sensitive skin. http://www.astroglide.com/products_astroglide_free.asp

Well after it happened I threw out the bottle. I hadn't had that reaction before and it wasn't my first bottle. Yes, I'm sure it was the gun oil. The only thing I can come up with is my body chemistry changed probably when I was sick last year.

I have always used Wet....water soluable and can be used as a personal lubricant or for intercourse. It has gotten very good reviews. And a little can go a long way. Silicon lubes should not be used, in my opinion.

    Spit.. You'll never run out.

And it's 100% organic, you can be super "green" and save the planet by not having to dispose of, or recycle those pesky plastic bottles - you'll cut your carbon footprint in HALF!!!

What were you doing, when using the lube? Maybe you came into contact with something else?

Not to put a damper on your fun boys... but isn't spit considered less "safe" because of the chance of there being blood in it?...
