    I'm bored.

    and anxious.

and I feel like opening a bottle of good red wine.

Nothing, thank gawd. First night since last week we haven't had to attend something. Then tomorrow it starts again, for another 5 nights. I'm gonna try to make some progress on decorating the Christmas tree tonight, but not going out.

Art, what's that all about? Is it job related? or more like keeping up with friends, family etc.

I'm keeping myself pretty busy lately.

but I wanted to go out tonight.

    but I didn't cos I didn't plan anything.

    so I'm kinda frustrated.

I just didn't wanna stay home and think about a certain somebody that I like. OKAY?

I want to go out and have fun.

    girls just wanna have fun.

One of the straight bars here has a gay night every Friday night and I have a standing friend date to play pool there each Friday. Plus an online buddy sent me a nice box of cuban cigars today so I'll be smoking one of those on the patio in between pool games.

    cuban cigars. class

I haven't played pool in like 5 years.

I need to go back to doing the things that made me feel like there was some sort of virility in my soul.

    yes I need that.

It's a British TV Drama set during world war times.
It used to be better, now it has a bit of soap opera kind of element. Still, a good watch. Bit of guilty pleasure also. There is scandal, revenge, unrequited love story, death, marriage.icon_lol.gif

So if you went out - where would you go? Are there gay venues in your area?

Is winter here today - will pour all afternoon - yet somehow must find a break to do some shopping. Evening is not for a while, but will be dinner with friends and then curling up with my other half to watch some British or Italian detective film.

Boring - Didn't you recently post about a hot encounter you were having or just had?

yes but that happened on Monday!

I want to have fun tonight.

I would definitely be having a wild night. IF I wasn't staying home.

I would be abusing my body with alcohol like there's no tomorrow and clubbing like i'm 20.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidMy boyfriend and I go to dinner with a straight couple the first Friday of the month. We're going to go to a really good Indian restuarant in Capitol Hill. Luckily the b/f and I really enjoy a lot of the same types of ethnic cuisine.

Then later the the b/f and I will go back to his place, maybe watch some television to wind down and then to his bedroom to finish out the evening. icon_twisted.gif

I usually have the opposite problem.....people are always buy me drinks I don't want. About 75-80% of the time when I go out, I don't drink any alcohol at all. Oddly, it can upset some people. I have people buying me shots all the time without bothering to ask me if I want one. Then they seem a little offended when I don't drink it.

Probably. But I find it really presumptuous to buy someone a drink without asking first. Some people are recovering alcoholics and some people can't drink because of medication interactions, and some people just don't want to drink all the time (like me.) Plus you never know if they've reached their limit or not. I buy drinks a lot but I always ask first. At least half the time people say no.

    Arms workout.
Measuring and drawing some cabinet-making projects I want to do this month.
Mahi and Asparagus poached in a white wine-rosemary sauce.

Unless a FB ends up coming over, in which case we'll probably just do the wine, on the sofa, in front of the fireplace icon_razz.gif

29 °C today, night still perfectly warm. 3 friends already here and I already made the fire at 8pm on the barbecue I built myself a couple months ago. More friends to come soon and will end up (probably) at the beach, my town in spring is seriously the best place on earth.

Doubt it - he is most likely skyping with one of us and exercising his wrist and forearm.

patito saidArt, what's that all about? Is it job related? or more like keeping up with friends, family etc.

Mostly social and fundraising activities. Among them (and some I've mentioned here):

National AIDS Day, when we viewed the quilt panel made by my husband for his late partner; a dinner with an LGBT networking group; Founder's Circle holiday party for the Pride Center of South Florida; Wilton Manors Christmas tree lighting, featuring the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus, for which my husband is a board member; restaurant dinner with friends; "Christmas on Las Olas" [Blvd] in downtown Fort Lauderdale, to hear our friend direct 2 different choruses on outdoor stages.

And then it starts again tomorrow, with a private house party, and a fundraiser for the Pride Center, dinner with my husband's brother, who will have arrived from Boston to winter here, then another holiday house party on Miami Beach, a dinner in Boca Raton, and so on and so forth.

December is a very busy month for us, with commitments for more nights than we'll have free. And I'm not counting the day events, mostly luncheons we'll be attending.
