Anti-gay N.C. church members indicted on felony kidnapping, assault against gay man

A grand jury indicted Justin Brock Covington, Brooke McFadden Covington, Robert Louis Walker Jr. and Adam Christopher Bartley on second degree kidnapping and simple assault charges. A fifth member, Sarah Covington Anderson, was indicted on second degree kidnapping as well as simple assault and assault by strangulation.

Considering that North Carolina is almost all god all the time, the creeps will probably be acquitted if tried.

But I wonder, how could the victim be so stupid as to stay in a church where he was hated for being gay? In some parts of North Carolina, there is another church every 200 yards - lots of choice.

(Admit, I don't understand religious nonsense to begin with.)

I would think the recent US Supreme Court decision regarding Hobby Lobby negates this indictment. Their religious beliefs supersede US law.

The thing about sex and religon is simple, the book itself and it's closest followers believe "straight" is the way into heaven (including the big 10). Take it from me, raised around christians and they've hated me once I point out whatever doesn't add up.

Your best bet is to avoid the cross at all cost, and focus on being human as we all are. Love is many things, why should preachy pricks say what's right and wrong about being who we are?
