Nor is it an arresting offense, merely earns a written citation. So the cop was wrong on 2 points of law: the requirement for current inspection with a dealer plate, and the correct response to a missing or expired vehicle inspection sticker.

Of course this cop will naturally claim the old guy was "resisting" and "threatening" him, making physical force justified. And the video may not be sufficiently clear on that point, they often aren't.

So while his own police force may suspend or even fire him, I doubt any legal charges will ever be filed against him. The old guy's best bet might be a civil suit against the city.

Its in Texas one of the most punitive, oppressive, backward states in the US where police brutality and political corruption are considered a normal, acceptable way of life.

Or dealer plates, which was in fact true in this case.

Its up to the local police and prosecutor to do the right thing.

    1) why is the cop playing music in his car?

Not only should he be fired he should have to pay restitution for the eventual civil case.

    2) If he is not fired the township should have the police chief removed.

    3) Last and here is the clincher. I want to know the cops defense to tazing someone then asking them to stand up.,
