In 2015, and you'll see my age change in my profile in 3 days.

January 1st isn't my actual birthday, though, for security purposes I don't provide that exact date here. I have a real birthday, and an official birthday, a custom I share with a very great lady, who also has 2 birthdays. I'll start calling myself 66 on New Years.

As I often say, what's good for the Queen of England is good for the queen of Wilton Manors. icon_rolleyes.gif

In any case, one way or the other I'll be 66 very soon. I had a big event at 55, another year where the 2 digits matched, so I think I may do something special for 66.

How interesting. The year I turn 55 you turn 66. All we need now is someone 22, 33 and 44 from the Forums to make it really interesting.
Oh look, I just found the 99 year old.

I don't know what kind of party we'll have, if any, but you will definitely be invited.

BTW, I've already registered for the 2015 SMART Ride, taking my age as my rider number, as I usually do. I don't know yet if I'll be the oldest rider, like I was 2 Rides ago, but this will likely be my last.

I can ride a bike more easily than I can walk, but even riding is becoming a challenge for me. Wearing "66" may be my swan song.

If you wanna come down for the climax (oppss - I mean finish) of the Ride, I already have a suite reserved for November in Key West. There's another room with a queen bed in our suite you can have, along with anyone else you want to invite with you, who can squeeze into a queen (bed). We'll be there from Saturday to Thursday, 11/14 to 19. Just let me know.

    Well, Happy Birthday, Bob!

No, just joking. And please send my best wishes to your Father on his birthday. If he's almost as old as me he'll need them. icon_rolleyes.gif

Your're in Berlin, right? I lived there several years, where I spent my 30th birthday.

Which I decided to mark as the death of my youth. And so the rules of the birthday party were these, and anyone who felt them offensive needn't have attended:

    - It was conducted as a wake, not a birthday party
    - Everyone had to bring sympathy cards for my wife's loss, not typical birthday cards (I was married to another Army Officer at the time)
    - I was lying "in state" on the sofa, and as people arrived they came over to pay their respects to the "corpse" - it was difficult for me to lie perfectly still, eyes shut, and not giggle
    - There was a black wreath on our door
    - Black bunting was draped all around the house
    - A sheet music album of Mozart sonatas was open on the piano, also draped with black bunting, with a sign that read: "His Favorite Sonata"
    - Guests consoled my wife over her "loss", and remarked how lifelike my body looked

Of course all in terribly bad taste, a mockery of actual wakes, but then I excel in that. And Army Officers tend to have a rather morbid & fatalistic sense of humor, anyway. It was part of our profession, which dealt with the art of inflicting death. Naturally once everyone had arrived I was miraculously "resurrected" and got to join my own funeral. Something I'll probably not get to do the next time. icon_eek.gif

OMG, Edmonds! I've chatted with you about it before. And taking the Edmonds ferry, my motorcycle allowed to jump the long car lines, and go right to the front for first loading. And only pay half-fare. While cars farther back in line might miss loading at all, and have to wait for the next ship.

Do they still do that for motorcycles?

    Congratulations

More like about 15 years of gay, 51 years of hiding in the closet.

No, it's 20 years of being an out gay, and almost 46 years before I realized I was gay. But never in the closest, not for a single day, and gay from the moment I was born.

Versus yourself, who has never provided any evidence that you're gay yourself, but who always has lots to criticize about any men who are. Please remind us again why a troll like you is obsessed with a gay site?

Thanks. You're one of the nicest guys here!

You'll notice my RJ profile age has now changed to 66. I set my profile to January 1st as my birthday.

That's not my actual birthday, but I've been doing that for about 15 years now, for an assortment of reasons.

Foremost is privacy & online security, to not reveal my actual birth date. I know RJ trolls like southbeach1500 have already learned the true date by stalking me online. But I'd still like to minimize the risk.

Another reason is my own convenience. My birthdate makes calculating my age not easy. I was never good at math. And my memory is dreadful.

So I decided years ago to just make my birthday New Year's Day. Then I'm guaranteed having a big party to celebrate, and I can more easily remember my age. When you get to be 66, a few months ain't gonna make much difference. I'll take 66, we can sort out the details later. icon_biggrin.gif

And once again, like the 2015 thread, who starts it?

And if you you happen to be referring to me by the "trolls like Southbeach", a correction is in order. 1) I could care less 2) and you told me what the date actually is on the phone.

I also round mine up, but do it pretty close to the date of my real birthday .... have since I was 25 and suddenly well aware that I wasn't chicken anymore. So I'm 'just' 60 for a few more months. You know what the real date is because we talked about it.
