Low of 38 in LA tonight!, then upper 30's, bundle up, its too cold for LA. Rose Bowl parade in the morning will be record low of 32 degrees! Haven't been to a NYE party in at least 5 years, usually go out the night after. Maybe i'll cruise the apps tonight icon_razz.gif
    Happy New Year

Going to an Industry dinner party at a CD's home. I have heard the food is quite legendary.

Still trying to decide if I want to look professionally sleek and sophisticated or just look like an aging hooker/pseudo socialite in need of free champagne.

    Or any combination there of...

Which I promised to do, like Monday.

I was thinking of going out to a bar either in OC, Long Beach or West Hollywood. Lol, every clubs charge like a cover from $15-$50 entrance. Lol, I might just stay back here and go to Downtown Disney and do a countdown or just be responsible, sleep in and watch NYE on TV. Cops will be enforcing drunk drivers like crazy. So, if you do drink, lol, be responsible. Happy new year ! icon_biggrin.gif

Dancing with my guy in a straight club. (Don't tell LionEyes.) The place is usually full of military guys without dates so no one will notice or care if Alex and I are dancing without a girl around. Fun club with good DJ's. Within walking distance of home so no danger. Open bar.

    Happy New Year everyone!

We're in for the night. Watched "into the woods" this afternoon, just finished the Chili I made for myself on Sunday. Maybe there is a movie on later, but I doubt we'll be up until midnight, like the last couple of years.

At least with today I'm back on my normal diet, I did my first workout in over a week and tomorrow is my last day on Antibiotics.

    Onward!

Just back from a nice dinner out. 5 stars, waterfront, 4 minutes from my house. Nicely dressed (leather blazer, black shearling) and undressed within 3 hours. My kind of New Years. I'll probably be asleep before the ball drops.

    And now, a New Year's anecdote…
A dozen years ago I worked on Times Square and the view from my desk out my office window looked out onto a roof and flagpole that other than seeming so close that you could touch them were so innocuous I'd have to tell visitors that it was where the ball dropped. The only night of the year I couldn't work late was New Years Eve because building security cleared us out early. If they didn't, can you imagine the parties we'd have held? What I always found most interesting would be walking to the office every December 31st morning and watching oblivious (or jaded) pedestrian hordes sidestep, walk around, ignore and otherwise miss the significance of a giant number 2 standing unattended on the sidewalk, waiting to be hoisted up onto the roof as part of the year that flashes once the ball drops. Only In New York!

Well, out here in BFE, I also usually sidestep, walk around, and ignore the giant number 2's on the sidewalk. The significance is usually that someone hasn't picked up after his dog, or sometimes that someone was riding a horse on the sidewalk. icon_rolleyes.gif

Looks like I may have to cancel my plans. My dog is freaking out over the early bird fireworks and it's not even close to midnight. I gave her a Valium but so far it's not doing much. If she doesn't get any better, I won't leave her alone scared like this. icon_neutral.gif

I just found out that I COULD'VE gone to an Elton John concert in a private box at the Barclays Center (long story).

Just as well. I'm not up to it - might have that flu going around. Stay tuned. I'm even nodding off to Kathy Griffith and Anderson Cooper.

I know, it sux. I caught a cold from a guy I hooked up with the weekend before xxxmas and am probably still infectious. Now, if I only knew which one of those guys gave it to me, I'd have him come over for a "safe sex" repeat. And take it out on him. icon_mad.gif

We're already back home from a dinner party with 12 friends. They all went on to do a gay bar troll, but my husband & I came back home here.

We'll just watch the ball drop at Times Square, and the Sushi Drop in Key West, if CNN televises it again this year. The Sushi Drop happens right outside the door of the suite we always take on Duval Street. The crowds & commotion don't appeal to us, so we don't attend, but we'll watch to see Sushi and the club owner who usually get featured on the broadcast.

My plan was to go bed before 9pm. I achieved this at 8:57, not able to finish the last 20 minutes of Return of the King.

pazzy saidwell, went to a club with my brother and my friends. ended up falling asleep in the club. why is it that every single time i go to an urban theme party at a club, it's always the same shit especially with the music playlist from the dj? i could have SWORN that i heard the same shit during 4th of july and last year's new years eve party. my homeboy noticed that too. it was repetitive. with that said, i didn't dance as i was exhausted and fell asleep sitting and standing. my leg almost gave out on me while i was standing at the bar while my homeboy was talking to some random chick.

the funny thing is that i ALMOST got thrown out the club for sleeping. icon_eek.gif the bouncer straight up told me to "wake up or he'll kick me out". how the fuck does somebody get thrown out for sleeping at a club?

    omg!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

+1, Lol, OMG. Bouncers can kick you out if you are too tired. They don't want the liability of a sleeping collapsed dude in the club. Clubs are for dancing and drinking, if you want to sleep. Go home bro! icon_biggrin.gificon_eek.gif
