Hi guys. I'm new to this site. I've been using the same weights and doing same sets and reps for a few months. It still feels challenging for me. When I try a heavier weight I can't do as many reps, so I stick with the old one.
I know every body is different. How long does it usually take to add more weights in your workout? In my case, is it because I don't rest/eat/work out right, or it just takes me a little longer? I usually work out every other day. One day I do chest and back, next day arms and shoulder. I do cardio every workout.
I'm not looking to get really big, but don't mind gaining few more lbs of muscles and get more strength. Thanks guys.

pretty simple rule. if you can do ten reps, increase the weight. keep doing that weight until you get to ten reps again, and then up it again. thats the literature ive seen most commented on. but i give this information with the biggest disclaimer of "everyone is different" and im also assuming that your technique is so perfect you could get photographed for every move you do.
