Would you rather be a shark...or a bird? And, of course, why?

I'd be a bird. I've always wanted to fly.

    Bird.

Sharks do not have swim bladders and they have to swim in order to let water pass through their gills and breathe. Pretty tiring methinks. A life of always running, just so you can keep breathing. icon_razz.gif

that is only if you are a ram ventilating shark.
many sharks use their buccal cavities to power water over their gills and can rest on the bottom.
Sharks use their livers to control buoyancy instead of a swim bladder it is not as effective as a swim bladder though.

Some years ago I saw a nature program on TV, where sharks had been discovered that could rest motionless on the ocean bottom, because they took advantage of constant currents in that area. Rather than move through the water themselves, the water moved through them as they rested.

shark... because I want to inspire awe, fear, and respect.
and I also am a much better swimmer than a flier.

That's pretty funny but I have seen sharks come out of the water and eat birds on discovery.. So I'll be a shark. icon_cool.gif

I want to be whatever bird drops the biggest turd. Then I'm going to drop that turd on the hood of my neighbors BMW on a hot sunny Vegas day.

    Shark!

it's like rock, paper, scissors.....a shark can eat a bird but, a bird can't eat a shark.........unless man blows him up and makes a buffet out of him/her LOL

birds have a bigger brain in correspondence to their body

    my opinion is:

    sharks-> cocky, shallow guys
birds-> modest, more spiritual and smarter guys.

Awesome. A Shargull or is it Gullark?

I would want to be a shark for the fact that they are rather interesting and live in a place that less known then space. Somewhere down there int he deep blue waits a strange shark of some kind just waiting to be discovered. Could it inspire something for mankind to use? Could it hold the key to a new cure? Could it be a dish or soup? Only time will tell.

you can be a cashew nut or we can do the two eagles option if you prefer.

(And you noticed I avoided all jokes about taking your cherry.)
