Instead of asking them if they are gay or not in the gym, ask them a few questions that is not related to being gay.

    1) How often do you go to the gym?
    2) What kind of body are you going for?
    3) Would you bring a lady to the gym?

    Would these questions be sufficient?

Alternatively just watch them doing it. If they are solely focused on doing weights then they are gay. They cannot be distracted.

Question #2 is your best approach of the 3.

If you ask two guys their eye color, one says "brown" and the other says "hazel, with flecks of jade and in some light a little hint of periwinkle", guess which one wants to see you naked.icon_idea.gif

What would be the gayest answer for #2? Muscle bear?

I think your thought on a guy who is focused solely on his muscles is gay is rather short sighted. Straight guys use the gym for often the same reason as gay guys, being focused on your routine is actually a better form of working out. I have a bunch of straight friends who get right into it and don't even notice other people there.

I think the best way to master "gaydar" is to simply become more outgoing, talk to as many people as possible and watch their body language and eye movements when you interact. You can't tell someone's sexuality off of every specific detail or cultural biases/generalizations; there will simply always be exceptions.

If a hot handsome guy treats me very friendly, smiles, looks in my eyes, then I know, without any doubt, that he is definitely straight. icon_lol.gif

From my limited experience, its usually the way people stare at my eyesicon_redface.gif

I can almost always understand when a guy is attracted to me by the way he looks into my eyes, without removing his eyes off mine!

Kinda flattering, but yeah! that's my gaydar!icon_lol.gificon_razz.gif

My gaydar is eye contact. It so happens that gay men linger their stare in certain way. Also, facial muscle. A gay guy obviously reacts in certain way when he sees a gorgeous guy coming towards him.
I'm very sensitive, so it is easier for me to spot out.
