A tranquil moment of nature I shot and edited yesterday. Geese at a pond. Enjoy!

Makes me miss Colorado. The geese in northern Colorado seemed like an incredible pain until I moved somewhere where it rarely gets cold and you do not seem them at all.

My first reaction to your post was to reply with something critical along the lines of:

"Why can't you enjoy Nature as it is, for its own sake? Why do you need enhancements like weed?"

But then I thought, wait a minute Bob, what did YOU used to do in the evenings, at wooded campgrounds? After a long day of riding your motorcycle, and fishing, maybe some hiking, perhaps a swim?

Make myself a martini, and lounge in the outside screen room of my RV and watch the sunset through the trees. Just mellow out, all by myself, sitting still for perhaps the first time all day.

Listening to the early evening sounds, hearing the breezes in the trees above me, smelling the campfires of my neighbors somewhere else in the woods. Who are cooking the crab or fish I caught that I'm sharing with them.

Because although I can make a memorable martini, I can't cook worth a damn. But eating freshly steamed crab in the canopied woods along with a cocktail, or some wine, by the last light of day is a high no one should miss.

So you enjoy Nature, too, in your own way. Because after all, a pleasant buzz is a pleasant buzz. icon_biggrin.gif

(And where is a certain person who's made it his mission to interrupt here and say I'm a hopeless alcoholic?)

You mean / someone would label you an alcoholic because you make good martinis? Someone like a teatotaler? Pardon my joking if you actually are an alcoholic. No intention of casting shade. We all have our vices.

So there is actually a deer that isn't eating my yard? Amazing.

Another shot on Sunday. Check out the large blue heron taking off.
