    Can someone please make me a list of what it takes to have an entire thread dedicated to oneself?

    I'm just curious.

    Starting a metathread about the threads dedicated to specific RJers is sufficient.

    I guess some people adore the attention. There are a very select few who deserve that kind of attention though--the nice, modest ones who are cool and genuine, truly care about others, never say a bad thing to hurt others, and don't like calling attention to themselves. I'm pleasantly surprised that there are quite a few RJers who fit this description, and I am truly honored to have made their acquaintance here.

    1. Having a birthday
    2. Having some other important event happen
    3. Being annoying
    4. Being an object of ridicule
    5. Being an object of admiration
    6. Being an object in one's own mind

    I can understand the birthday ones, but ones for no apparent reason? People need to just grow up, plain and simple. Get rid of their little school girl crushes, get a life, and forget about all their stupid little obsessions. icon_eek.gif

    The person the thread is about is more often then not started by that person. So I guess you could just start your own thread about yourself.

    It's getting a little annoying. this is not why I joined Real Jock and I certainly won't be paying to see this bullshit. I'd pay if I thought I was getting something out of it.. but sometimes I feel like i'm in high school again.

    1) Marketing
    2) Squeaky wheel/attention whoring
    3) Drama
    4) Quality sense of character (ie nice human being whose existence benefits the world/society)

    thats what i can think of.

    Be selective in which Forum areas you read. Click FORUMS at the top menu bar of the home screen, and then avoid the major Forum headings "General Discussion," and "Dating, Sex and Relationships." The others are about fitness, health, nutrition & sports, which I presume are your interest areas.

    The home page, accessible from anywhere by clicking on the RJ logo on the upper left, also has many features & articles relating to exercise & health.

    If I thought I was in HS again I would quit tomorrow. Fortunately virtually all time spent in HS between September 1974 and June 1979 has been erased from my memory banks so I cannot make any comparisons. Although I did get a comment on my Facebook wall the other day from a woman who was a HS classmate of mine. She said I look a lot different then I did in the 1970s! Sad thing is I cannot remember her. icon_redface.gif

    Be smart, funny, and post a lot. It also helps if you are real and good looking but not totally necessary. You could be like Terra22 and start your own thread about yourself http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/397748/

    Well I say there are four specifications for one to actually dedicate a thread to oneself:

    1: Grew up an only child and thus have the whole spoiled disposition and the mindset that your shite don't stink, or just be the most pretentious person in your city;

    2: Be reasonably goodlooking or at least believe you are;

    3: Be a whore, sexually or attention wise, though usually these go hand in hand. If you're like an uncovered manhole, and people just walk by you and fall in, then you automatically qualify.

    4: Have an ego the size of Texas, or at least one to match those big "muscles" which are actually tiny but the body fat helps give them the illusion of being big.

    Could we use Alaska as our metaphor for large? Texas is still trying to live down getting Bush back, and we're a little sensitive.

    I love the birthday dedication threads. They, in addition to my natural sensitivity to community, make me feel warm and fuzzy.

    those threads survive only cause we respond to them. Its not only the poster's fault, it is our fault as well. Unfortunately there a lot of high school students on here
