I totally understand their position ..
I do think it is their right to refuse to perform their flight assignment in fear of what was drawn on the airplane skin .
The problem that the cabin crew is going to encounter , is that the pilots reassured them about the plane to be safe .

In that industry , we everyday are reminded of how we cabin crew should be aware of anything pertaining to the safety of our passengers , in this particular case that is what they have done .
Those airline stewards should be reassigned to their positions .

I have yet to hear any comment on how the graffiti got on the plane. I would think that would be a big issue, either security breach somewhere or employee that needs to be fired. I agree though, the plane should have been grounded until a complete security check could be done.

It amazes me that they would clear an airport for a paper bag left in the restroom but they wouldn't ground a single plane when the graffiti is clearly a questionable comment AND a clear breach of some security, whether Hong Kong or the US.
