I joined a gym a few months ago. I had always worked out at home but had recently moved into an apartment above a family and I thought my working out was too loud. (Like, I hear every faucet ran and every dish put away because our walls and floors are chipboard.)

I never had joined a gym before, and I must state I really do like it! Especially the running; I live in Ohio near the lake and it can get ridiculously cold in the winter.

But my problem is, I work second shift and usually can't get to the gym until midnight or so. I work there for about two hours or so, get home, and pass out about 3, waking up at 9 am every day. The question I am wondering about, though, is it wise to work out right before bed? I don't know if I should go right to bed or invert my schedule to sleep around six and wake up about noon? I enjoy having my morning, but don't know if body chemistry or any of the like will affect what I do at the gym; should it be the last thing I accomplish? Does anyone else have this schedule, does it minimize my workout? I don't like going to the gym in the morning because there may be too many people + having to leave to go to work and the like.... I wouldn't do it. Any advice is appreciated. Sorry for writing so much!

It doesn't matter when you workout as long are you're hitting your nutrition goals and getting quality sleep each night.
