Open Door or Closed Door?

Friend and I had a discussion about comfort levels with your partner, specifically do you poop and pee in front of your partner.

I am a "closed door" person who poops, pees, etc. in private.

He, on the other hand (I classify him as an "open door" guy), poops in front in his partner or will brush his teeth in the bathroom while has partner takes a dump.

Are you an Open Door or Closed Door kinda guy?
Can/do you take a dump in front of your partner or be around your partner, such as brushing your teeth, as he takes a dump?

icon_redface.gif I don't even have a door on my master bath area. You just kind of walk around behind the closet. Or out on the ranch, you just step behind a tree if anyone is within eyeshot.

icon_rolleyes.gif My brother makes a point of openly pissing in my courtyard every time he comes over.
icon_razz.gif My dogs make a point of crapping in his yard every time we go over there.

Haha, it's funny I think (I don't know for sure) that more gay and lesbian couples (maybe more just gay) are more "open door". I honestly don't care -- open door. everybody poops.

I am a "closed door" person. Seriously, I don't want to see my partner poop or pee.

Ask him if he wants to smell, hahahahaa.

But really, do whatever you're comfortable with. But if he is bringing up the subject you need to discuss it. You may be surprised if he has coprophilia but it seems to becoming a more common thing from what I'm reading across the internet.

Not my thing, but just something you should be aware of.

Definitely closed door - with both of my LTR's we found it best if we had separate bathrooms. Although showering together can be fun icon_lol.gif

One must be notorious or perv to pee or shit in front of other people. So does the people who tolerates these. You can leave your dump wide open but nobody is interested seeing any person doing such thing even if he is very close to you.

My partner and I are into some kinky stuff, so we don't use the toilet. icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif

SERIOUSLY THO' My ex and I had no qualms about using the toilet in front of each other while the other brushed his teeth, dried his hair, or whatever. However, my new BF likes his privacy, and I respect that. I remember once when he and I started dating, we were walking along and he abruptly stopped and motioned for me to continue walking. I was confused for a moment and then realized why. I laughed and told him I had no problem with it and was actually a bit juvenile about the whole subject of farts and farting and appreciate a good fart and fart humor. We are both humans and we fart. Once when staying in a hotel room together he told me not to go into the bathroom as he had just taken a dump. I said I grew up in a one bathroom house with 6 people. We didn't have time to let the bathroom air out between uses. After long car rides it wasn't uncommon for my dad, two brothers and I to all standing around the toilet bowl pissing because no one wanted to or could wait.

I don't know why, but my spouse and I have no problem peeing in front of each other, but pooping is a closed door thing. I guess pee seems less gross than poop? icon_confused.gif

I suffer from Paruresis, meaning I can't pee when anyone is nearby. It's annoying as all f*. It can be painful, too, when my damned bladder is about to burst and the frigging plumbing won't work. So, yup, definitely need closed doors. Besides I'm not interested in smelling or hearing someone relieving themselves a couple of feet from me.

    Hahahaha!

My "bathrooms" have no doors and extend from the kitchen down the north side of the house, past the laundry, three bedrooms before reaching mine. There are louvered pocket doors to separate areas but no one needs use them since the toilets, basins, four closets, 2 large showers and one tub are all in individual 7 foot high cubicles. There's no conventional hall in the house so every bedroom open has windows and doors that open onto the raised landing of the solarium (Florida room) that extends the length of the house from the great room to my bedroom.

Needless to say, the arrangement of the bath facilities is always a source of amusement, envy or confusion with new guests.

The house was designed and built in the mid 1930s for a lifelong bachelor physician. My 1st partner and I bought it in 1988. Over the years I've developed a greater appreciation for the way it's designed. With all the plumbing on one side of the house with unfinished basement beneath replacing corroded pipes was a relatively inexpensive two day project that I could do without help.

Don't worry. Just in case you're neurotic or female, in the guest suite I put frosted glass doors in front of the toilet and shower/dressing areas, so you can go in and use one or the other, or use the lavatories, and not see anyone who might be using the other parts. And conversely you can use your fixture as long as you wish without blocking access to the rest.

Me and my BF are both closed-door guys. We may be together naked quite a lot and have some very very intimate knowledge of each others asses and dicks... But SOME moments just need to be private.

My ex wife would keep the door open, then freak out if i was standing anywhere that i could see her.icon_rolleyes.gif

    Closed.

It's not about being grossed out. I used to work in the ER.. that's definitely not an issue.

I would just like some fucking alone time occasionally icon_razz.gif
