So, OK. According to Fox News, Birmingham in the UK - where I have friends and have visited - is entirely Muslim and non-Muslims can't go there; that Sharia law is enforced.

Complete and utter rubbish of the highest order.

But yet, no doubt some idiots will hoover it up. I don't think the "reporter" has ever left the US

    ARGH.

And yet they still have more viewers than CNN and MSNBC put together, on a bad day. Cool bro.

Doesn't surprise me at all.. and there are people who actually believe it because it was featured on that farse of a "news" outlet.

That most news is skewed or outright lies is one of the first things anyone should assume. I'm usually not content with any story until I read it from multiple primary sources.

Fox News has declared a war on Islam. They basically say moderate Muslims support extremists, because they take the Quran literally, and that the religion either needs to be reformed, or eradicated.

    1. He's a Democrat.
    2. He issued an apology.
    3. He was never a Foxnews employee, simply someone they were interviewing.
    4. Emerson has been referred to by the liberal New York Times as "an expert on intelligence", and by the liberal New York Post as "the nation's foremost journalistic expert on terrorism".

Fox News hates Obama. He's enemy number 1 to them.

Last night, Fox News star, Sean Hannity, said of Obama, "He's not my president."

Dewd, did you even take a few seconds to look at your own link to the youtube clip? Fox was interviewing "Terrorism 'expert' Steven Emerson".

He isn't and never was a Fox News employee or contributor that I'm aware of.

I fully understand that you (and many others here) are blinded by your Fox News hate, but for the sake of your credibility, you might want to check things out for a few seconds more.

I just read the YouTube comments. It's a shame that people think Fox represents the U.S. That in and of itself is propaganda. Fox represents right wing extremists within the U.S., which means Christian fundamentalists, the "whiter" the better (and skin color has little to do with that since race is a social construct in the US and it's more about affiliation). Fox was the biggest enemy to the gay community, before being gay was accepted. They have come around on gay rights, though, but that's to make themselves appear more tolerant than Islam.

What's ironic is that the woman interviewing him (can't remember her name; it's Judge-something) went on to make much more incendiary comments about how we need to arm 1.6 billion Muslims so that they can kill the 200,000 million supposed extremists within their religion. (I'm paraphrasing it. It sounded a lot more bloodthirsty the way she actually said it.)

He is still reporting missinformation. It doesn't matter who says the interviewer was and is supported by, a reputable news outlet would fact check; the response of the presenter in the studio was just hideous - she could have challenged him; questioned him in a vigorous manner as a journalist would do rather than just look appauled.

    Thank G*d for the BBC.

This thread is just another great example of an pseudo intellectual migrant farm worker proving he's good at picking cherries in order to promote his own personal political perspectives.

For future reference, the first rule in "reporting" news on television or in forums is to confirm your sources and double check the information. Failure to do so generally knocks your credibility in the turd pile like you were trying to do to Fox News.

For the record I'm not a fan of Fox. However, the fact that 2 US news channels run more infomercials or prison reality shows than news and another one runs cheap reruns of solved murders than news while Fox provides more daily news shows and beats all the others on breaking news (like the 5:00pm report on the new ISIS appeal for jihadists in Europe and North America to double up on killing people while other news channels were doing reruns and non news programming) it's not hard to see why Fox has more viewers than all the others put together.

And also for the record, if ever decide to check the track record for MSNBC or Obama for factual information you'll get your feelings hurt.

I think that's what drives me nuts the most, they actually have a large audience!! That's why half the country believes that Obama is from Kenya and we have all these nutty politicians in office now.

I wish people would really do their homework on things and just don't listen to pundits on TV. Especially ones saying stuff that is completely coming out of their ass! icon_rolleyes.gif

I watch and listen to the BBC, but I've been disappointed by them at times, as well. They have their own biases, which can make them lose some credibility. They're like NPR, and they sometimes come off as elitist.

Like another poster already said, you can't trust any 1 source of news. They are all profiting off their own narrative.

P.S. Why use an asterisk for the "O" in God? Is that slang? Or are you actually censoring yourself? He's not Voldermort! icon_lol.gif

You seem to need to be wearing a T-shirt that says, "take my advice because I've never used it."

And for the record, I seldom 'watch' Fox News. What very little time I spend watching TV, it's generally Velocity and one of the Mecum auctions while fixing or eating lunch. That's about it when it comes to TV. I do listen to Fox occasionally when in the car, but instead of much time on Fox, I listen mostly to David Webb (one of the Tea Party founders) on XM ch 125

Well, I've been watching Fox news for the past couple days, just to see what they're saying. My husband can't even be in the same room, because it's so inflammatory. BUT the one commentator being called out on this thread is small potatoes, folks. Every hour on the hour Fox declares war on Islam and say that the goal of Islam is to overthrow the French government and turn France into Caliphate. Then the rest of Europe, Israel, and finally north and south America. They basically say that Islamists are like Nazis who want world domination. That's just the baseline of their news cycle right now.... I have a feeling that attention spans are short though, and they'll be back to attacking their own citizens shortly.

Thanks mx5guynj, freedomisntfree, and bobbobbob for correcting what the OP wrote.

And OP - you can have your BBC with their bias, especially anti-Israel bias. Been reported many, many times.
