Did anyone see this movie?! It is soo good! If you're a cryer though, be wary. There is just something about Benedict Cumberbatch that's just hot and the plot of the movie was great so it's a must see. Hope it wins an Oscar!

It's amazing. Watch for BC's speech impediment. He's brilliant! It did win at Golden Globes. Did anyone else notice the white waistcoat BC had on at GG? The guy dresses like royalty.

Yes, well told story & well acted! It is interesting how they modified the story to elicit more sympathy for Alan Turing.

Yeah I noticed the speech impediment in the movie but that was only for the movie right? In the tv series Sherlock he talks normal.

Awesome movie. I had heard a gay man broke the code but this filled in a lot of the details. Hope it wins some awards. Being different is a good thing

I want to see the movie, but it hasn't come to Dubuque. I've known about Alan Turing for a long time, since I was a math major in college. I recommend the biography of him by David Leavitt, The Man Who Knew Too Much: Alan Turing and the Invention of the Computer. Leavitt suggests that being gay made Turing more able to reject conventional thinking, which in turn made him more capable of breaking the enigma code, and doing the mathematical work that led to the development of the modern computer.

The recent apology from the Crown was inadequate for recompense for the injustice done to one of the great minds of the 20th Century or any other century. The Queen should break with the rules and bestow a posthumous knighthood with an O.B.E. You Brits on here should lobby her for that.

It was a well made movie.

I still have to commend the Germans for utilising such a complex machine during the war, but I'm glad it was decoded.

Yeah, like they completely swept under the rug the fact that the Poles had already cracked earlier versions of the Enigma and helped the British with cracking it.

But I did enjoy the movie.
