Didn't hear a thing about the Lord's Prayer or equivalent (Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Juche, Spiritism, Judaism, Baha'i, Jainism, Shinto, Cao Dai, Zoroastrianism, Tenrikyo, Neo-Paganism, Unitarian-Universalism, Rastafarianism, Scientology) also being broadcast.

Remember though that it was Breitbart that reported this so I think it would call for further confirmation/verification. IF true, then I agree with you.

The economy is a religion too. The almighty dollar has more power over people than any supernatural force.

Did any of them (other religions) ASK to be broadcast? If they did, then you have an argument. If not, then it's simply freedom of religion, isn't it.

knowing more about what is the broadcast and it's origins in other culutre / religion is more helpful than commenting saying nothing !

Funny how it's PC to support a religion that advocates killing gays and Jews and subjugating women. I think it's terrifying that you're letting your personal Jesus blind you to the realties of cultism. It literally shakes me to the core to imagine you smiling piously at the sight of bloodshed, with gleeful, creepy twinkles in your eyes.

...and again, you're completely wrong in your speculations and extrapolations about me. Creative smear job, though. Kinda like the time you tried to paint me as racist and the non-white buddies of mine on here laughed for a week at you.

That was because hentailover made an observation about racism, and you kept trying to discredit him by talking about purple people and Dr. Suess books. You make yourself impossible to reason with. It's like you'll be sympathetic towards delusional religious martyrs, but when a gay POC decries racism, you tell them they're just imagining it.icon_confused.gif

It's one thing for a religion to announce themselves with a cross on top their steeple of their church on their private property, where a non Christian can at least make an attempt to avert their eyes on passing. So though the displaying of such symbols are in our faces, they're not in your face. But clearly, as clear as a bell, it's in your face, a personal intrusion upon the ear--turning away won't make it go away--inflicting non Muslims with calls to prayer over a loudspeaker which unavoidably trespasses beyond its borders.

A cross on a steeple you can turn away from. A call to prayer is unavoidably intrusive.

By forcing non Muslims to hear their calls to prayer, government which allows it violates separation of church and state. And since I was a kid, I've felt the same about the quaint practice of church bells ringing out the time of day be it on the hour or just at noon and six or whatever their practice.

The only sound that ought to purposely pierce the privacy of others is an air raid when attack is imminent or when testing the emergency broadcasting system.

Loudspeakers are for fire trucks, not churches.

He preaches Christianity. That's something I do not condone.

Every time a religious person converts someone to their cult, democracy and freedom of thought are weakened.

Honestly, I'd trust a conservative atheist before I'd trust a religious liberal. The latter is simply an oxymoron.

Freedom to stutter? Since you've said the same about 10,000. How many times it take? We've ALL heard the last 9,999 times.
