I was taught the value of money at an early age .
If someone doesn't the means to afford an expensive outing , it won't offend me at all , it would make me respect the bloke even more .
I dislike people showing off by spending money they don't have !

Not really, restaurants are pretty expensive really. When we all have a million RED FLAGS it's a shame to add spurious ones.

Yeah definitely not a huge deal.

I've had friends before tell me they don't want to send a ton of money, so we either go get coffee or I offer to buy.

    Frugality is super sexy!

There's a difference between being cheap and being frugal/practical. I respect people who spend money wisely and are still generous toward others.

People who spend lavishly on themselves but are penny-pinching toward others are a huge turn-off.

I have had too much fun with Guys with little more than the shirt on their back to write anyone off simply because they don't have multiple international bank accounts.

    I really don't care.

But there is a MAJOR distinction between living in one's means and being "cheap."

There is nothing more irritating than someone with assets that nickel-and-dimes everything to death. For THAT, I have ZERO patience.

I admittedly have been pretty fortunate in this territory, but I can safely say that some of the most extravagant dates I have had were with Men of extremely limited resources who just knew how to make even the simplest gesture seem downright Royal.

I prefer a cheap date. A burger and a beer, followed by a movie. Or simply at a crappy diner somewhere. What matters is the connection.

Who cares if it is walking on the beach or going to a fancy restaurant. It doesn't matter. Just you and me is all that matters.

Everybody has good answers, I've actually had a date per say take me to his place where we had soup and sandwiches.

    It was great.

It depends. For a first time date, no issues at all since I'm getting to know the guy. But if we go on multiple dates and they're all cheap, then yeah I would be offended because that'll get old fast! I'd like to have a good dinner with wine every once a while and I don't think that's too much to ask for.
