Do you like lesbians?

Something I've noticed recently is that a lot of the lesbians and gay boys in my life don't like the other side. I frequently hear from the lesbians how 'slutty' and 'bitchy' gay men are. One lesbian even told me she doesn't believe gay men can be in love because all they want is sex and money and that gays adopting children was wrong because most gays are unstable. And then from gay men I hear about how the lesbians all dress like men and are confused and so on.

Do you get along with lesbians? Do you have lesbian friends? If not, why?

Granted a large majority of the people I talk to are gay men.

We are best of friends with two lesbian couples. Even vaca together some. Sometimes when we find ourselves in a group of lesbians, the crowd can get a bit raucous but we just withdraw and do our own thing. They know and understand. Lesbians are just like everyone else you meet-=- they come in all shapes and sizes and temperaments and backgrounds. Some you will like and some you won't.

I wish! It was some trendy hipster bowling alley. They're only rude if you try to bring a baby.icon_lol.gif

I like my Lesbians like I like my coffee.

Strong, but only once a day. icon_lol.gif

I'm kidding! The resort we go to in KW is LGBT, and I've always had more fun with the lessies than some of the uptight gays. It's not as bad there as it was at the defunct Coconut Grove, though..there, if you were not GQ or Mens Health cover quality, you wouldn't get the time of day.

And, from personal observation, the Europeans are the snobbiest bunch at first. It's a small resort, so eventually they give in and will talk with you.icon_wink.gif

One time I was the only male in a slightly drunken group of 10 lesbians, sitting around the resort pool.

The coversation turned to ..ahem, female anatomy and sex.

    Graphic. Sailors would blush!

Finally, I threw back my drink, stood up and declared

"Ohhhh, look!! A girls sex talk party, and me, without my uterus!" and went to the other side of the pool area.
They laughed over it and it became their saying whenever they wanted some subject to end.

Lesbians and gays should get along better. I mean, who else is going to jump your car battery?

I have noticed that in a group, they drink like sailors, I mean like drunk at 4pm and pass out at 8. The do like to gossip about other lesbians and yes, they do get into anatomy a lot. But I guess gay guys do, too.

I like lesbians that look like girls, all feminine like they show on porn, but im almost sure these are not real lesbians but the female version of the "gay for pay" (they get more money for making lesbian porn than conventional porn).

I know 2 lesbians One works in the local supermarket (I can tell shes a lesbian by the way she looks/talk. The other is a girl Ive been talking some lately, she's cool and super butch and has a kid.

btw, I think itd be cool to have a lesbian friend, because you can talk about stuff you cant with straight friends and maybe she will have a similar approach but without all the bullshit

I don't have anything against lesbians, but they sometimes get on my nerves. I hate that they have it easy and take advantage over it. I generally don't like being around them. I just like being around gay men.

i certainly give them their space at homeDepot. Cant love all of gods creations but we get along fabulously.

    a reference of one person:
Possible the average lesbian sees the average gay man as immature and has a over bearing mother love. we use a real estate agent and she defiantly does what she wants. Some times I see a common interest but usually just before the transition from planA to planB... and planB dosnt include her.

There are a handful of them that I've been able to sustain long friendships with.

But let's be honest about it.
Hormonally and psychologically men and women are different. Just as it is true that men who are into men have their own subculture, so do women who are exclusively into women. The weaknesses and strengths of men and women in heterosexual relationships tend to balance or cancel each other out. In homosexual relationships the strengths and weaknesses are doubled.

If you ever work with some of them on a committee you'll realize we might as well be two separate species. We once had four lesbians in charge of entertainment for our annual ball for Mardis Gras. We ended up with four hours of folk singers.

I love my lesbian friends. There are lesbians who are super nice and others who are total bitches, but the same can be said for gay guys and straight folks.

I have a number of close lesbian friends. None of them dress like men all the time, although half the lesbians in this town do.

I wish I could find some lesbian friends...I think they would be perfect. They aren't into your looks, they can relate to you, and you don't have to deal with their jealous new boyfriends like with straight women. icon_biggrin.gif

I have many good friends who are lesbians. I enjoy their company greatly. They do fun things like rock climbing and backpacking and they tend to be more politically engaged and conscientious.

Sure, why not? They can be a lot of fun. I've even had an excellent professional collaborator who was a lesbian.
