Pull ups are always a good exercise for traps but it takes strength to do them right and it's more of a whole body exercise. This exercise can get a beginners going . I noticed a difference right away!

    Totally gonna critique this. icon_biggrin.gif

    1) Wrong section.
    2) It's a trap "exercise" not "workout".
    3) Standing up encourages swaying/accessory muscle use, you should be sitting down.
    4) Arguably not the "best" trap exercise.
    5) Not a great beginner exercise because you have to focus on isolating your traps.
    6) Relaxing on the downward motion discourages muscle growth; you want to keep a constant tension on that muscle to maximize stretching/tearing.
    7) You didn't talk about sets/reps. Generally traps respond well to higher reps and don't require much effort to make bigger.
    8) You're right about keeping your shoulders back though, gg.

This app is buggy. I posted under general fitness.

The dude in the vid is built and he is making positive suggestions ; that is good enuf for me. Focusing on isolating that muscle works for me since this exercise does not require the use fingers . I've injured my right fingers.

That is what tops are supposed to be. Lol.

All day at the computer has caused my trapezius to atrophy . Yoga did not help. I need to focus on it and then it better at pull ups.
