"I will say that most everything the Bible preaches is that of love and acceptance."
He and I must have read a different Bible! There's a lot to talk about love in the New Testament, but there is very little about acceptance!
In fact, followers of Christ have a duty to admonish the sinner. It is an act of love to do so and a sin of omission not to do so.
I do not understand why some of us homosexuals are so Hell bent on getting the Christian church to validate us. Don't they realise that sex (any sex) outside the construct of a Christian marriage is sinful? So even if you get the church to approve of homosexual relations, technically you are going to have to wait until you get married to have sex. Like any homo is going to do that! Hell, the heteros can't and won't even do it nowadays.
So on the off chance we get Christianity to accept/validate us, what do we do next fight for the church to change its position on sex before marriage? There's probably more Biblical prohibitions on that subject than on homosexuality.
Is the Metropolitan Church still around? Why isn't it an option for Christian homosexuals? I say leave the mainstream Christian churches to themselves.
