He was foolish. What he is doing is playing a game he can't win. He should just accept that people will think that homosexuality is sinful and move on. Christians in their way are trying to love homosexuals as the Bible told them how.

No, I respectfully think that we have to keep chipping away. This may not change Liberty, but it needs saying, over and over. And possibly someone will see it and think.

Dr. Johnson once said something like "A man who waits to do a great deal of good at once, will never do anything."

"I will say that most everything the Bible preaches is that of love and acceptance."

He and I must have read a different Bible! There's a lot to talk about love in the New Testament, but there is very little about acceptance!

In fact, followers of Christ have a duty to admonish the sinner. It is an act of love to do so and a sin of omission not to do so.

I do not understand why some of us homosexuals are so Hell bent on getting the Christian church to validate us. Don't they realise that sex (any sex) outside the construct of a Christian marriage is sinful? So even if you get the church to approve of homosexual relations, technically you are going to have to wait until you get married to have sex. Like any homo is going to do that! Hell, the heteros can't and won't even do it nowadays.

So on the off chance we get Christianity to accept/validate us, what do we do next fight for the church to change its position on sex before marriage? There's probably more Biblical prohibitions on that subject than on homosexuality.

Is the Metropolitan Church still around? Why isn't it an option for Christian homosexuals? I say leave the mainstream Christian churches to themselves.

Hear hear. It pisses me off when people say, "I choose to worship a god who's accepting of gays, who's loving and kind." The fuck you do. You've never met your god and if he exists you have no idea what he thinks of you. If gods exist, and if they choose to be narcissistic, retributive assholes, what are you going to do about it? Invent a better god? It's like these people don't actually understand how their own mythology works.

If everyone was stuck in the paranoia closet like you, we wouldn't get anywhere as a people.

Right on! It's about time someone stand up to this madness! I am a Gay Christian and I have been through HELL and back dealing with fundamentalist types. They will have a LOT to atone for when it comes to how the homosexual people are treated.
