I'm traveling solo through Burma, Cambodia and Thailand in Feb and Mar. If anyone has any hot tips/advice, please let me know. Also, happy to meet up with locals and fellow travelers.

Angor Wat. Will. Blow. Your. Mind.

When traveling through that area, I have found bringing a box of cigarettes and handing one to people (men usually) will help. Technically a bribe, but if you are in a jam, it will make a difference, especially when traveling solo.

Make sure to ride Air Balloon over Bagan when u visit Burma. If you are a big fan of ancient architecture and local tradition,I am sure that you will have a good time there.Just in case, please bring Equate Regular Strength Stomach Relief, you will need it when u try the local food LOL icon_biggrin.gifCambodia-Hot-Air-Balloons-2000.jpg?width

Thanks for the advice. Am very excited about the trip, especially Burma. Can't wait to experience Bagan!

Was in Siem Reap last year and will return again. BTW, there is a 1/2 Marathon through the Angkor Wat grounds every December. Any runners out there interested?
