How to make man of the day

I've noticed various different guys get man of the day and I'm unsure what the pattern is and how to get noticed. I'm sure of course you have to be attractive and maybe a certain level of fit, but since I've never gotten that nomination, does that mean I'm not those things? I'm still working on my fitness and many people have told me I'm fairly attractive (With every attempt to stay humble). I suppose my question is: what does it take to stand out? What grabbes people's attention when they look at me and when they read my profile. How can I stand out in real life and how can that benefit me in the long run. We live in a culture that rewards uniqueness; while everyone is unique, it's hard to make that special quality obvious and moreover attractive. So what qualities are we looking for? What makes us stand out? What makes people want us? And how do we make our special features stand out and be viewed as desirable enough to be considered for something like man of the day?

Participate in forums and look decent.

It's not brain surgery or a meritocracy.

    Just a harmless passtime.

    Good luck!!!

It's sort of strange the members who have never posted to the forums end up motd...suspicious...icon_confused.gif

I think it helps to be hot, young and sexy. Generally the more revealing 'adult' pix, the better.

But that said, even I've been MOTD (not young, not particularly handsome, and no adult pix at all). I suspect that was mostly because I have (or had at one time) a notable forum presence. So, if it is something you really want, you just have to figure out a strategy that will work for you. I actually got another member MOTD one time by a) nominating him and b) PVTing a *lot* of people who liked him to vote. Otherwise it is sort of random.

By the way, I NEVER DID GET THAT PONY I WAS PROMISED!

My thought exactly. I don't recognize them from any thread participation.

To get MOTD, I think you need someone to nominate you and so you show up in the MOTD contest section and catch people's attention. If you don't get it today, the next day your friend can keep nominating you until you get it.

I wonder if you can nominate yourself. icon_confused.gificon_lol.gif

In the (middle) old days, I think you just had to show a lot of Skin on video chat. Nowadays, I think the best thing is to carefully select the model pics that you steal.

Seriously, a long time ago, on an old defunct (I hope) site, I figured out the trick and did it once. Put up a new profile pic every day or two. Make them a little more slutty than average. Post details of every hook-up. (this was before video or even real time chat) People will keep clicking. You'll shoot right up to the top, whether you have a perfect body or not. Whore. Slut. Trollop. icon_wink.gif

Funny. One of the guys on here has some impressive pics and then you go to his one adult and it is a pic lifted from bigmuscle of Jake Gianelli. Hmmm...

One guy was nominated and I think won because his dog died.

Possibly effectively knocking someone who's partner just died out of the running.

On the one hand it's random (best stolen pic), on the other calculated (stumping for MOTD votes like it's high school).

You have to bewitch people using witchcraft. It worked for me!

My head has been heavy with the MOTD crown three times since I became a Member -- and I can tell You ALL, this is the ONLY legitimate advice in this entire thread...

I don't think there's much rhyme or reason to it. Some guys have a lot of good things to say in the forums and get noticed for that, others are really hot, and some just seem to come out of left field. I used to comment a lot more on the forums and I think that's how I was initially noticed.

The MOTD is a popularity contest contained where the same people win at least once a year. You could be shirtless, hot as hell, have a great profile but if you're not apart of the elite dudes on here, its pointless. You could be a member on here for years, have a great profile, be shirtless, great muscles but if you don't fit the mold or are apart of the elite circle, you're not going to win.

Don't strive or stress to be MOTD. It's not even worth it. Be your own Man of the Day by treating people right, being nice, contributing positively to society and do the things you love to do.

I remember one guy from Hawaii who was a member for less than a week and was MOTD. I think what got him noticed was he was a muscle guy, shirtless laying in bed. He did particulate in the forums and then profile went blank.

A couple of months later, he resurfaced with a different pic and was Motd again. I figured at that point votes are based on visual perception so I stopped paying attention to Motd.

Not true. Most, if not all, of the MOTD winners in the past year or two have never participated in the forums.

I've made this suggestion previously, but why should it be a voting contest to begin with? Let the site randomly select a member a day so everyone gets their 24hrs of fame. What would be the big deal in doing it that way? It's been done the current way for a long time. Let's try something else. I hate the fact that it is basically a popularity contest.

It was "random" in the beginning. But I think some members bitched and complained, saying that it was rigged by the admins. So then they changed it to a voting system.

Stand erect, suck in your gut and look as constipated as possible so you look like you're thinking or something. Rub on some baby oil, and show some skin. Or find a photo of a fitness model and pretend it's you. Not hard....there are multiple days in a calendar year. And multiple people desperate to vote for some random douche they think is hot. Then you get to be ms. Realjock for 24 hrs.

Let's be honest; MOTD drives traffic/ad revenue, keeping the site free. Admin will never change the system because:

    1) if it ain't broke, don't fix it; and

    2) stolen pics and headless torsos sell, evidenced by member demand (clicks)
