Apparently I am underweight

I never thought I'd be writing a topic like this, ever.

I was overweight from elementary school to the beginning of highschool. I still feel like the fact kid mentally, but have been thin to slim, since and have super high metabolism. I used to work out super hard in highschool. So hard in fact, I once passed out due to exhaustion and had to go to the ER. My cardiologist told me to take it easy on working out, etc.

Anyway, since college, I haven't really worked out, but have certainly stressed. Most of my hair has fallen out, including my pubic hair, armpit hair and eyebrows. I'm going to the doctor next month to get bloodwork done to see if it is more than that.

Anyway, I have been taking biotin, B-complex vitamins and supplements in addition to trying to eat healthier.

I have never been one to weigh myself regularly and in highschool, on the track team, I was about 160 pounds.

In college, I fluctuated from 140-160.

I weighed myself earlier this week and I am 110.

I am horrified. I don't feel skinny and thought I needed to get rid of my small gut, but apparently, being 5 foot 7, I am slightly underweight. (According to online BMI calculators)

So, do I have reason to worry?

Did you try another scale? The one you used might be off.
You should talk about how you feel to your doctor.

Yes, you have reason to worry. That isn't normal. Get it checked out immediately.

Yes you are underweight. Not even cross-country runners at 5"7 weigh 110 pounds.

Your hair is falling out and you weigh 110 as a 5'7'' male? There's a medical problem. Get checked out immediately.

    Update: That evil scale lied.

I am in the 180 pound range and getting bloodwork done for my hair issues.

Apparently I am slightly overweight, but I can see my ribs.

    Well, time to do squats!

How do you not know the difference between 110 and 180?

I am confused by this. Am man who is 5'7" (about what I am) and 180 pounds (also within my own current range) is OVERWEIGHT, not underweight.

So what's this all about? I don't understand. Your RJ profile says you are 110 pounds. Are you jerking us around?

I hadn't updated my profile after being weighed at my physician's office.

I was wondering how I could be overweight, as my face has been getting fuller.

Apparently my BMI is 27, when the max should be 25, so I obviously need to hit the gym.

Yeah, you were right. I'm going to see my doctor again the week after next to pinpoint exactly what's wrong with me.

Again, thanks for the advice icon_smile.gif
