Too bad the article didn't go into the basis for Cruz's amendment. Sure, Congress can regulate the scope of the federal courts' jurisdiction, but getting an amendment passed that would strip them of their obligation to decide cases involving federal questions, like federal civil rights, would be nearly impossible - and Cruz is too well educated a lawyer - cf., good an attorney - to claim otherwise. This is pure politicking - and marks Cruz as out of touch with the libertarian and moderate ranks of the GOP.

It is highly unlikely that the amendment will be passed. Passing an amendment is a very difficult thing to do.

What do you expect from this rollicking retard, he is from Texas or more accurately TexASS, the Giant Tea Party State. Probably it is time to introduce an amendment that would permanently kick Texas out of the union. Than we will finally dispose of many of the NARROW MINDED BIBLE THUMPING SCREWBALLS who have fucked up the GOP with their right wing antics.icon_mad.gif

Oh jesus, shut the fuck up. Ted Cruz is a Texas Senator, but he's from Canada.

And the Tea Party State is Kansas.

You are definitely wrong on that one Mr. Austinlover. It is Texas that is the tea party state, not Kansas. Mr. Cruz was born in Canada but he is now a Texan because Canada was way too liberal and open minded for his taste.
