I can say as a gay man that religion is VERY anti-gay. I personally take it seriously because most of the fantics out there take what they are doiing seriously.

Although I oppose cartoons and other items that are unnecessarily insulting to others, I do not believe that they should be illegal. Censorship can be dangerous.

TURKEY. A TURKISH Court ordered this. This would never happen in the USA, and would not likely happen in an EU member nation.

Turkey is notorious for egregious human rights violations. The USA isn't perfect, but there's really no comparison between Turkey and Western governments w/ respect to human rights issues.

Under its current prime minister, civil rights in Turkey have been badly eroded.

Turkey used to be a secular state, but the current PM seems intent on turning it into an Islamic theocracy.

AyaTrollah pouncer saidActually, even allowing for the backward slide in the past few years, human rights in Turkey have markedly improved under the Islamists

    http://www.hrw.org/world-report/2014/country-chapters/turkey
    || In office for three terms since 2002, and enjoying a strong parliamentary majority, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has demonstrated a growing intolerance of political opposition, public protest, and critical media.

    http://www.hrw.org/reports/2014/09/29/turkey-s-human-rights-rollback
    || This 38-page report outlines the rollback of human rights and rule of law in Turkey, linked to mass anti-government protests in 2013 and corruption allegations that go to the very heart of the government of the ruling AKP. Human Rights Watch tracked the government’s response to the recent developments and made concrete recommendations, focusing on four areas: strengthening the human rights context of the peace process with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK); reforming the criminal justice system; ending impunity for past and present abuses by state officials and for family violence against women; and ending restrictions on speech, media, Internet, and the rights to assembly and association

Erdogan can go fuck himself. But the way I know Facebook they will actually adhere to this ludicrous und completely unacceptable demand.

Svnw688 said and would not likely happen in an EU member nation.

I wouldn't be so sure, Europe has become quite subservient to Islam and Muslims because the political left is terrified of being thought of as xenophobic in any way.

Erdogan is the new sultan of Turkey. Very true Europe is kneeling to muslims and current leaders in Europe are lost cause now.

And anyone here doubts that Islamophobia isn't anything but vile racism in a cheap suit?

Since when is Islam a race?
