Should the state offer job protections to government employees who refuse to officiate same-sex marriages for religious reasons?

I have an even better bill for them.

    Here

Now they can buy a paper and find a job that better suits them.

I think some accommodation probably has to be made for genuine religious beliefs and assuming there is someone else who can officiate a wedding what would be the harm?

So if they are salary and one guy gets paid to do 6 a day and does 2 and the backup does ten, why would you employ him. And what if he susddenly doesnt like mixed couples, or just blacks, or say people over 30. There is no end to religious bullshit they can make up, because it is all make believe.

There could be a designated gay-marriage officiate and a designated straight-marriage officiate. Maybe it would work.

I think we've moved on from "separate but equal" a long time ago!

besides this is far to christian minor deviation required centric.

Are you going to "reschedule" school in the middle of a class because a teacher has to pray 5 times a day during class? Of course friday afternoons would be off for all too as the muslim teacher has to "leave early".

Of course the government will be in a heap of trouble when the AMISH start signing up for those free army pensions they will be able to earn and not be qualified to be able to do a single part of the job, or even GET to it...but will have to accomodate them, and pay them all the same, because of all people they have demonstrable religious belief, living without technology.
