I just got a Netflix gift card because I want to see why everyone is using Netflix. What shows/movies do you think should I watch? I like dramas, mystery, comedy, romantic stuff.

There is so much stuff on Netflix, I love it. I am now just about to start season 4 of the TV show White Collar. I would highly recommend it. Great writing and acting, and lead actor Matt Bomer is adorable. I also have watched the first 2 seasons of House Of Cards(if you are into political dramas). Another political drama, with a gay theme is really good, titled Political Animals. After White Collar, I've got the gay series Looking on my Netflix list.

Transparent is on Amazon...not netflix. I watched the entire first season the day Amazon let people watch it for free. It is a pretty good show. I feel like it is just getting started....which is a good thing.

If you want to go back to the 90's, the American /Canadian version of "Queer As Folk" is on Netflix.

Agreed. House of Cards and Orange is the New Black are fantastic. Also, I believe Dexter is streaming on Netflix. The first 4 seasons were solid.

I watched a lot of stuff on Netflix lately. Indie movies, gay movies, dramas, foreign. I'm addicted to watching *Spartacus series (just finished the 1st season Blood and Sand). God, all those hot guys dressed up as Gladiators/Romans and fighting and fucking each other. I visited Rome a while back and now learning more about the History of the Gladiators/Romans, it's SEXY. lol, apparently there were many Gay gladiators back then and you, as a male Roman, can have multiple wives and male-lovers as you wish.... !! icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_cool.gif

    ^ This 5 out of 5 stars!

I just finished this weekend with a marathon season one, Spartacus blood and sand, "kill them all" climatic ending was a surprise. I was very impressed with this period series, well done with its gratuitous frontal male nudity (sometimes a prosthetic). Too tragic that its star, Andy Whitfield got sick, couldn't do the second season, then passed away from non Hodgkin's lymphoma at 39 years old.

    Jupiter's Cock icon_lol.gif

A drinking game played while watching the Starz TV Series, "Spartacus: Blood and Sand". Each time the word "cock" is spoken, everybody must drink a shot.

As a kicker, when the words, "Jupiter's Cock", is spoken, everybody must do a double shot.

Spartacus has a lot of cock talk.....so, by Jupiter's Cock, you're guaranteed to be hammered!

^^ yeah, I like the raw male nudity in the series too. It was such a tragic thing that Andy Whitfield died, they replaced him with Liam McIntyre. So many COCK talk lol, most of those Slaves/Romans guys have CUT PENISES LOL! icon_smile.gif I like cut guys so it's all good. It was such a different society back then, like if you're in a noble class, you can just pick up a HOT Roman/Slave and have him be your SEX SLAVE!! LOL (I'm watching second season and third season, it's great too). (Is it really bad that I FUCKING LOVE THE Villain Roman guy Claudius Gabber?? well and Liam McIntyre too. Lol he's so Sexy!!)

Manu Bennett (Crixus) has no problem showing his real cut cock on the small screen, I've noticed several times in fact, now if we could ever get Jakey Poo Gyllenhaal to deliver the on screen goodies icon_razz.gif

    ---------------------------

And the rest of the story goes....they didn't live very long in those days

After Spartacus death in battle at Senerchia (age 40-(71BC), what ever happened to:

In the mid-60 BC, six years after the death of Spartacus, Pompey joined Marcus Crassus and Julius Caesar in the unofficial military-political alliance known as the First Triumvirate (The Roman Republic). Forty Four years after Spartacus death, the end of the Roman Republic and start of the 500 year Western Roman Empire. (27 BC – 476 AD)
(Compare US Independence from Great Britain, only 239 years so far)

Marcus Crassus: Killed in Battle of Carrhae (age 62-(53BC)
Julius Caesar: Assassinated by Senate members (age 56-(44BC)
Pompeius Magnus: Assassinated in Egypt after Battle of Pharsalus (age 77-(29BC)

Octavian Caesar (son of Julius) became Emperor Caesar Augustus, the first in the new Roman Empire (age 36-age 49 (27BC-14BC) Rumored to be poisoned to death at the place his father Julius was assassinated. (age 49-(14BC)

The Roman Empire was the post-Republican period of the ancient Roman civilization, characterized by government headed by emperors, and large territorial holdings around the Mediterranean Sea in Europe, Africa, and Asia. The 500 year old republic which preceded it was severely destabilized in a series of civil wars and political conflict, during which Julius Caesar was appointed as perpetual dictator and then assassinated in 44 BC. Civil wars and executions continued, culminating in the victory of Octavian, Caesar's adopted son, over Mark Antony and Cleopatra at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC and the annexation of Egypt. Octavian's power was now unassailable and in 27 BC the Roman Senate formally granted him overarching power and the new title Augustus, effectively marking the end of the Roman Republic.
