I would hope that this would be something that conservatives, moderates, liberals, etc....would be able to agree upon.

Good luck with that. Seems like a task, to raise enough money to "convince" congress that we need to get money out of the election process. You could get every voter in America to pony up their entire wealth to the cause and you still can't out bid the Koch Money Machine.

Exactly. That's why we have "gridlock". The less actual governing going on, the flow of wealth from the middle class to the ruling class continues unabated.

    Reclaim WHOSE democracy?

This is nothing but Socialist bullshit -- three tiered dishonesty.

    1. The US has never been a Democracy. Thankfully it's a Republic.

    2. At no place and no time has Socialism ever initiated a damned democracy and never will.

    3. Democracy boils down to tyranny of the majority, mob rule by ballots. Every time the idea of democracy has been pushed by socialists it has led to anything but democracy. (USSR, Cuba, China, Korea, etc etc)

Read about the types of people Lenin called his "useful idiots" and see that just by posting this here, you are one of them.

I agree that we can't have "tyranny of the majority". You can't expect a majority of Americans to have an informed opinion on most things. But, the oligarchy in charge now will destroy us too.

Like the 3 Muslims who were murdered yesterday in Chapel Hill BECAUSE they were Muslim? That kind of "winning"?

It's not all sunshine and marigolds for any group, especially insular minorities from a non-majority religion. Don't be obtuse.
